Exclamation '02 MDX hard to start

I have an '02 MDX with 190K on it. Purchased it new, love it and can't bring myself to part with it!

For the past couple months, it's been hard to start when cold. It cranks for five seconds or more before catching. Doesn't seem to happen after it's warmed up. Also had the check engine light coming on (occasionally joined by the VTM light), and I brought it to my repair shop. They told me that cylinders 2 and 4 were experiencing misfires. I replaced all six plugs with NGK Iridium IX and all six coils with Denso 673-2302 OEM replacements.

It seems to be running much smoother, with more power and better acceleration, but I still have an occasional problem with it taking a while to start.

Does anyone know what else could be causing the problem?

Thanks!

How old is your current battery? Might be time for a new one soon.

The battery tested out fine. My repair shop is telling me the injectors need to be replaced and the valves adjusted. Apparently they use an online mechanics site and they're getting this advice from other shops. The check engine light comes on, sometimes followed by the VTM4 light, but the only error codes being thrown are that the fuel is too rich on bank one. I'm scheduled to bring it in this Friday, I hope this fixes the problem since it's a $1,200 job. They're telling me that the injectors are only available from the dealer and they charge $100 each for them . . .

Fuel injector

I saw a listing for fuel injectors manufactured by Standard Motor Parts model #FJ420 on the RockAuto Parts website. (RockAuto Parts Catalog]). Priced at $49 each. They also list remanufactured injectors for $30-45

OK, so I got the injectors replaced and the valves adjusted. I'm not seeing any more dash lights, but still getting an occasional hard to start. It happens randomly, sometimes when warm, sometimes when cold. Any ideas?

I would've replaced the battery if it's a few years old and checked the starter.

Injectors dont really go bad but it happens
I would rec valve adjustment first
That help alot with running rich/lean codes before changing injectors
