Center Console Replacement - did it work for you??

I just picked up my Sport Hybrid from my second regularly scheduled service [B 1 6]. I also had several TSBs addressed including TSB 16-024, Center Console. The dealer replaced the console lid but it continues to have the identical issue.....the lid does not close by itself. If opened you need to push it closed. I know many of have had the same problem. Since there are other ways to get into the compartment it isn't a big issue but annoying to have a repair done and not have it work.

I carefully looked at the TSB and checked the part numbers referenced since my first assumption is that the dealer simply replace the lid with the identical part. My second assumption is that Acura made some minor modification to the spring to strengthen it or modified the lid to reduce the friction which keeps it from closing automatically. The TSB references part no. 83410-TY2-A04ZC. The service slip shows part no. 83410-TY2-A02ZC.

Has anyone else had their console lid replaced? Did it work? Is there a difference in the Part number?

I thought is might be helpful to have input from the AcuraZine denizens before going back to the dealer.

Thanks in advance.

I believe you are correct: They used the same original defective part, and not the updated part that the TSB calls for.
I am a bit confused about the TSB, because it only includes the 2016 models.......

If the TSB applies to the 2014s, then they should have used the below part depending on your interior color.

I will call the dealer tomorrow and ask them to check the part number The center console problem really isn't that big a deal but, after all the RLX is their "flagship".

i am still wondering if anyone else has had this replaced and whether it really worked.

I have the same issue intermittently and based on your comment and others, I'm not going to bother getting it repaired. It's simply not worth my effort anymore, TBH.
