Pulled the trigger today.
Well, today was the day. Instead of doing my usual haggling with dealers I decided to use my credit union's car buying service. Got the call today and they came back with $1000 off of MSRP on a V6 tech Might not be the most someone has gotten off, but with the dealers in NC, most of the doc fees are around $500. The car buying services processing fee was only $98, so I got a decent savings there, total deal better than i expected without the hassle.
So with all that being said, my GLM/Ebony TLX V6 Tech should be here within a week! I'm happy with my deal and can't wait for delivery!

It is SOOOOO tempting!! Given that my TL will be going back to the dealer soon, I want to wait until next spring (since I don't drive my cars in the winter anyway) and this way, I can save about 5k of no car payments....I need to stay focused and you are NOT helping!! *LOL

BTW, have you seen mine?
JK... if it means saving money, just hold off... you'll get better deals in a few months anyway.

I got the dealer in Greensboro to commit to 1k off MSRP and was thinking I qualified for the 1k in CC's but dont as I'm not a current acura owner despite having 4 registered 2004 or newer acuras in my household. Can't be tying up credit with co-signers either.
The dealer eventually relented and offered me 1.5k off msrp and I told him I'd think about it I really wanted 1.75 off though. In all reality 35.7 out the door isn't very bad on the tech though.

Add me to the list of NC people that use SECU. I got the account in college when I had a campus job.
Congrats on the car. Hopefully we will start to see more of then pop up around the NC region.

Seems like a pretty good deal to me. I struggled to find anyone to give me anything off the MSRP on the 4 cylinder in NC. My family owns 4 acuras and multiple connections at dealers, but nothing.

Over the weekend I ordered a Fathom Blue 4cyl. TLX with Tech package. MSRP is 35,920 (including destination charge). I got 700 off MSRP plus qualified for the Acura/Honda owner incentives (first 2 payments and 500 for accessories).
I'll be using the 500 to get the decklid spoiler. Sadly, I have to wait about 14 days to get the car!

*smile* That would make sense if I did buy my vehicle but I lease them so 8 months with no car payment will actually be on this end only. I have a chance of a lifetime to walk away from my lease and not have a penalty and that is great. I will be leasing my next vehicle from the same dealer so now its a matter of TLX or ILX (Dynamic)??

Congrats on your new ride.
Hey, here's something that will make your life on AcuraZine a lot easier....it's the Multi-Quote button. It's the middle icon in the lower right hand corner of each post. It allows you to respond to more than one person in a single replay....just like Post #25!
Be sure to give it a try.

I feel your pain! I have to wait a week, and it's unbearable. I got the $1500 incentive but paid MSRP in Chapel Hill (for I4). I did trade in my 2004 TL, and they gave me $2000 more than CarMax (thieves!) offered me. Who knows if ultimate it was the best deal, but given the amount of car I feel I'm getting for the money, I have no regrets!

I got a call today that my TLX had been delivered and I could pick it up tonight. Graphite Luster 2.4 Tech. It was waiting for me inside when I went to get it. It's a great feeling to be back behind the wheel of an Acura!

when you were there, did you by chance get to see the TLX they had added the kit to, and what color the car is they did that to?

Thanks much. I didn't notice a TLX with a kit on it. In fact, I don't recall seeing another TLX in the showroom except for mine. I have to admit tho -- I was paying far more attention to mine than any car around it.

The day finally arrived, my GLM/Ebony V6 tech was delivered! I absolutely love this car! It's been pouring rain all day so I haven't had a chance to really do much with her (that and being at work) but a couple of things I did notice on my way home, the dreaded mirror reflection, no upper tint on the windsheild like on my 3G, and no fold-out compartment in the doors like the 3G. The e-shifter was easy to get used to although my hand did feel kind of lost as it still expected a shifter.
That being said, still blown away by how quiet the interior is and how well it handled in all the water on the road. Can't wait until the weekend so I can dive headfirst into entering all my settings. So glad I made the purchase.
The only said thing is that I bid farewell to my faithful (and never gave me one problem) 3G. Although she has gone to a good home since one of my co-workers bought it from me.

One thing to note - if you look real close in the right kind of light you'll notice a reflection on the passenger window by the mirror too

The rest of your story could have been written by me. The only difference is my 3G went back to the dealer.

Congrats man! I hate it for you tho, that you had to pick up your car in all of this rain we've had for the past 2 days, but it did give you a good chance to see how it handled on wet pavement. It also gives you a major reason to have some bonding time while cleaning it up as soon as the weather break haha
