I have a 2001 TL, and my driver side seat heater (both elements) went out. I pulled the seat out and stripped the leather off - there was a small short in the back element (which I fixed), but the bottom element was burned through in multiple places (looks like it shorted on the crossbar connected to the three hog rings). Due to the extensive damage, I replaced the bottom element with a new Acura element ($$$), and reassembled everthing.

The back part works great now, but the bottom still does not work. I spoke with the Acura service department, and they think it is probably a faulty wiring harness or plug.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the driver's seat in a 2001 TL? It would be very helpful in troubleshooting the problem.

I am looking for a wiring diagram for the heating element wires for the driver's side seat in a 2001 TL. There are two plugs, a two-wire and a three-wire, that come out of the driver's side bottom heating element. The two-wire plug attaches to a second two-wire plug from the back heating element. The three-wire plug attaches to a wiring harness that plugs into the various motors for the seat and a multi-prong plug coming out of the floor.

A wiring diagram should tell me which wires in the various plugs I should check to verify connectivity of the bottom heating element.
