VSA light acceleration issues/transmission
HELP!!!! I have an '02 TL Type S with a little over 250G miles on it. I had my transmission replaced in 2006 through the dealership for the recall. About 2 years ago I noticed what I thought was my trans slipping but only in low gear and didn't have the funds to put it in the shop. Fast forward 2 years and now the VSA light comes on and sometimes when I'm pressing the gas, it revs up as if it was in neutral and barely goes anywhere. The 1st time it happened I pulled over and turned my car off. When I cranked up back up the light was off and it was fine again. It happens still and I have to pull over and do the same before I can go anywhere. the code reads some the about the torc converter. Any suggestions on what it might be? I'm really hoping it's not REALLY the torc converter. I know my car is old and it has A LOT of miles on it and my air's even out but I'm not ready to get rid of it. It's been the best car really up until the last couple of years and if I can get this VSA thing taken care of I can at least get through another winter before I have to get another car. 😩

Tranny is toast. Same happened to me a couple thousand miles ago. VSA light came on, and I was hoping it was something related to traction control, then pulled the code for the TCC. Tranny went out within one week, I got stranded and had to get a tow. I put in an AV6 myself and it's been perfect so far.

Yup its done, To me sound like the internal filter is clogged and there's no way to change it without rebuilding the trans.
