03 cls6 cranks but won't start
Hey guys. So I have an 03 CLS6. I was having a bad problem with a misfire do to a bent valve in the head. I ended up getting a JDM TL engine and just installed the new engine. It took me about 2 weeks with some help from friends. I did swap the crank shaft pulley and the camshaft pulley and sensors to the TL motor from my 6spd motor. I also put a timing belt and new clutch on. Everything went perfect putting it back in. Started it up, ran no problem. I replaced engine oil, coolant, and tranny fluid. I started it up probably about 5 times before I drove it. I got in it, and drove about 200 feet and the engine cut off and now cranks but won't start. I never had an issue with the main fuel relay before, so I don't suspect that as a culprit. I'm going to do some more testing tonight. I did look through the grommet on the timing belt cover and while cranking, the timing belt still moves. I did line up all of the timing marks when putting the belt back on and reset the auto-tensioner. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the crankshaft sensor... Any help and advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Okay so update... I'm not getting any connection with my ECU and scanner. I tried two different scanners and neither one could establish a connection. Checked all of the fuses and they are all good. I'm very confused. Helppppppppppppp

6mt swapped..smart
I know it's probably a long shot and I've never heard of this, but I'm wondering if your ecu somehow got shorted out/damaged. Wouldn't hurt to take the cover off and inspect for any hot spots or damage inside.

I have a second working ECU for the car. I swapped that one into it and it does the exact same thing. So its definitely not the ECU. I think something is causing the ECU to not work properly. Like a short or something.

So as of right now. I'm not getting the PCM to turn on. When I turn on the ignition, the CEL does not light up, have no spark or fuel, and won't communicate with the scanner. The other PCM does the same thing.. All fuses are good. Still stuck...
