OK I would like to ask some questions and hopefully I am not being flamed for it.....

Since this is Acurafest, are there gonna be BMW's, Toyota's, Mistubishi's, Subaru's, etc joining us? If so, that's gonna look messy. Because since you guys are not reaching out to all other brands, what if one decided to show up and is not in the lines of Honda/Acura? Are they gonna get rejected from the event? (I'm very sorry but jjashaa, I'm mainly pointing at you for now since on the list, you are the only car that is outside of the Honda family....)

Another question, are Acura models gonna be in an ordered fashion? Like RSX in one lot, TSX in another, TL's over there, etc....

I think if this is going to take place at a grand place, it should look professional and orderly. But that's just me.

Any inputs?

Dude, I didn't say that cars outside of Honda are NOT invited. I have no control nor authority to make that call. I was just ASKING what would happen in that situation.

Like in the OP, it says that this event will be more exclusive to "Acura members only." That seems pretty vague now because the next line says that it wants to reach out to Accords.

Jjashaa, really, I'm mainly asking to kinda look out for you and others like you who wants to join the event. It's gonna suck to roll into the event and get rejected. So I just wanted to know and maybe pass on the message. By all means I am not trying to promote non Acura members to avoid this event. I just want some information cleared up.

 

Why stress over a meet?

 

its been repeated in the past pages although it would have been nice if it was in the OP... some of us had Acuras/Hondas and have gone to the past however many all-cali and one acurafest



if you're worried about having a hyundai being parked in the middle of all this acura.. i'll go park somewhere else....

Yes this event is mainly for Acura's, but quite a few Acurazine members have now parted ways with their Acuras. jjashaa (Josh) and Mike both had Acura's, but they've moved on with them.... like most people in car talk. Why would you want to bar x-Acura owners, especially if they're still active Acurazine members from coming? You do say that you perfer this to be Honda/Acura only... why not take it a step further and say Acura's only, since it is Acurafest, right? I don't agree with it.

They still contribute tons of insight to the community (which I can't say for you because I've never met you), come out to local meets, and help other Acura enthusiasts.... We've never even met you before at a local meet.... if you've ever been to one you know that they're still very loyal Acura enthusiasts. I was planning on bringing the Cayenne, so should I not be coming to Acurafest also?

With that being said, I don't think you should be barring Acurazine members from going if they don't have Acuras. I really don't care about the parking situations because it can go a few ways:
1- Caravans arrive and park next to their friends
2- Park by make/ model (or alternate models)
3- Every man for themselves
People driving non Acura cars at our meets know to park at the edges or away from the general meet... I don't really see it being a problem at Acurafest. I'm sure people would gladly move their cars if we asked.


With that being said, if Mike and Josh aren't going to be going to Acurafest just because they don't drive a Honda or an Acura, cross me off the list.

Yea sorry if I sounded like I was making decisions. It's just I've basically taken charge of club-TSX's SoCal caravan and I got some PM's asking if non acuras were invited since the OP said exclusive to Acura members.

If you and your "club-TSX" come to our So Cal Azine local meet frequently then you don't have to ask this kind of question. Thing is, as for TL owners who belong to Azine forum, we think that TSX members are on your own group and don't want to join us even as we are all part of Acura!
Being said that, the main purpose of the All Cali Meet or Acurafest is to meet,greet, talk, share, and make friends between all Acura owners and/or who part of Azine forum. Some Azine members move on to different kind of car, so what? They are still a great friend to many of us. Personally, I would not come if Josh and Mike could not allow to join or park their car among Acura! After all, Mike is one of the few people who organize this meet.
Now, people with non-Acura who is not belong to Azine forum should not join this event as the OP said the meet is for mainly Acura members only.

OK I wanted to ignore posts that assumed I was trying to get this exclusive only to Acura cars, but wtf. Do you just take what I wrote, rewrite your own version in your head and throw out assumptions?

First off the PM's I got are people who used to own TSX's and wanted to come out for a big event. I don't give a shit if Camry's show up. It's just IN WRITING in the original post, it says exclusive to Acura members. Because that was the same information I posted on other forums and it got other people confused also.

So I was confused and wanted to clarify.

I agree with you here, but no one ever said that non-acuras should not come. You jumped to conclusions. Mdkxtreme just doesn't want ex-acura members to come to this and then not be able to participate since it has been decided to make this year "more exclusive to Acura members only."

mdkxtreme makes sense. He just wants to know what to tell other members who used to drive an Acura. I don't see how he's hating. You guys are taking this way too seriously.

You should have said that in the first place. Thanks for the clarification though. How many TSX's are coming? Why don't you guys just come caravan with us? I know TSX people really just mingle with eachother... it'd be nice to see a group together, rather than the TSX people segregated from us.
