I like the race pedals. Are there any in stock somewhere? I know some guy in the TL forum was selling them but he was out of stock on the RL pedals last time i checked.

Yeah, that was Supercomputers. The automatic 3GTL pedals (except for the dead pedal--ours is much larger) apparently fit the RL as well, but he sold out of those several months ago and it's not clear when he's going to have more stock.

Is it possible to quantify the HP gains on each of the engine performance mods?

lumpulus, the spoiler is 1/2 painted and 1/2 left as cf.

iceburg, yes you can see neuronbob's dyno thread. Also on our own car we used the apexi rsm to measure performance and were able to shave off a good amount in the acceleration test after all the upgrades.

Any other grills out there? I'm not very fond of the OEM grill (probably the only thing I dislike about the looks of the car) and the grill in this thread isn't much different than the OEM. Almost looks the same, minus the Acura logo.

I actually like the Honda Legend grill very much but I don't plan on re-bading the car so I would still want it to have the Acura Logo. If anyone knows of a grill similar to the Legend but with the "A" instead of the "H", I would like to know about it.

Also, I wonder if the "H" can be swapped with the "A" on the Legend Grill?

+1

If the Legend grille were available and I could put our "A" on it, I'd probably buy it.

iceburg, click on the link in my signature to go to my dyno thread to see the data. On my car, the intake and 5zigen exhaust added 13-14 whp, a respectable amount for just those upgrades. (Disclaimer....I didn't do it to help Touge, I did it as an experiment....)

lumpulus, if you go to the Photo Gallery and find Touge's loooong thread about his car, there are plenty of pics of the Mugen lip spoiler. (EDIT: the link is in Touge's signature.)

gavine, the azect is the only grill available at this time. There was a user on the other acura forums who used the legend grill with the acura emblem. Here is how that came out -

Ewwww. Never mind. The rounded logo in a square setting looks awful.

We'd clearly need a custom grille to make it work.

Either that, or we'd have to break the "A" out of that border.

I don't think it looks so bad. Kind of looks a little "rigged" but I might still like it better than the OEM grill. I'm going to have to think about this one a little more.

It looks bad with the Honda Square with the Acura circle.

The grill looks nice, aggressive and similar to the TL grill.

Do I sense a custom grill group buy? but who can make it for us.....I'm in...

I never paid much attention to grills before on cars until I bought my RL and now I'm in-tune to them. The Honda Legend grill does resemble the TL grill and I like it much better than ours.

The ugliest grills in the market right now are the Lincolns. They are horrible.

My wife's Buick Enclave has a pretty nice grill....like a chrome waterfall.

03 Inspire, sorry I don't think fujitsubo has any more pictures. If you don't lower the car excessively you won't need a camber kit on the RL. My camber I recall was fairly close to spec and the car was quite low.

Haven't seen anything for the 1996-2002 RL's.

I miss the car too, defintely the nicest machine I've built. Maybe I can do something with the new gen RL if Acura gives us a v-8 =).

Touge,,,, you over simplify. That was not a machine, it was art. It was not built, it was crafted.

Even though my RL is stock, each time I saw a picture of that car I would think; "Wow, I own one of those."

I think that when I look at mine. The RL is definitely a unique car.

I think the SH-AWD is amazing. The more I press the car, the more amazing it is especially for its size. I wish Acura made an Audi TT sized car with SH-AWD.

Do you gents know where one could buy the 5zigen mufflers and resonator, that is used in the RL system? I really like the way it sounds and was thinking of using those components and fabing them up to fit on to a TL.

Just PM Touge and he'll hook you up. They have to be shipped directly from Japan. To hear the exhaust note, just go to the CarDomain link in my signature.

It appears that Touge is no longer a registered vendor here.

The exhaust you can probably order via Excelerate, who is a site vendor. It has to be shipped from Japan. The AEM intake is the same as for the TL, but Touge made a bracket so that it fits our RLs. I don't know where you'll be able to get that.

Aem Intake

Where Can I Purchase That Aem Intake With That Bracket?
And Also What Do You Think About 20" Staggered Rims With A 4.5" Lip In The Rear And 2.5" In The Front? I Know That It's Not Good To Put Staggered Rims On An Awd Car And That The Car Has A High Offset, But The Rims Look Sick On It!

This is a great thread, no matter the vintage.

Is Touge's Visionary Racing still the only place where one can purchase the "RL'd" AEM cold air system, underdrive pulley and those body kits?

With the underdrive pulley, does the kit include a new belt? If not, how does one determine the appropriate size?
