Original owner of a 2003 CLS I have never changed my clutch fluid and the color is still a very nice light amber. I am also on the original clutch with 214,000 KM'S Question is, should I leave it alone or should I have the fluid changed?

change it. It's a pretty easy DIY. Make sure the car is as level as possible.
Remove drain bolt, drain, put bolt back on.
remove small overfill bolt.
Fill from above until fluid comes out of overfill bolt.
when fluid stop coming out, put overfill bolt back on.
Put filler bolt back on, done.

i think gnuts confused the transmission fluid for the clutch fluid.

he gave instructions on how to change the transmission fluid


to change the clutch fluid, you would bleed it like you would bleed brakes.
attach hose to slave cylinder, then pump clutch till you see clear fluid at the hose in slave cylinder, while keeping eye on master cylinder reservoir

Thanks for catching that. Is it worth doing? The fluid still looks brand new...
I change my brake fluid every three years but never did the clutch fluid

brake fluid is hygroscopic; meaning it absorbs water from the atmosphere.
it could possibly form rust from inside the lines.

if you have a full day of DIY's, I would add it to the list.

and not to sure if DIY bleeding clutch is like my bleeding of clutch on my 3G TL

I needed a 2nd person, or a block of wood to keep the fork from moving.
