Nice! I figured you may have already went auto with all that power. Well, whoever had the car before me put a piece of shit Spec in it. I'd never put a Spec in a car after having this one. I've always heard good things about McLeod. I know it was cost a pretty penny, but I like to do things right and like to have parts that I know will last. I used to be on SVTP all the time and that's where I get most of my opinions regarding the car. Yeah, I've been debating between the RST and RXT a while. I know the RST is more "forgiving" I guess you'd say. I don't drive the car much, so I was thinking RXT. I know the RXT is the only one that they suggest for the strip/hard launches.

I'm not willing to pay.

So I just play in the small sandbox. Still happy though.

I've thought about a Super Charger for the Stingray. They start at about $6,000. After all the money I've poured into it already, I said "no" to the Super Charger. I've got close to 500 horsepower anyway-I don't know what to do with all that, as it is.....

There is nothing wrong with any ones sandbox. As long as it makes you happy. The sand is not always better in the bigger box. lol

those new z's are something on a whole notha level! There is a shop in Lutz Fl. 5min from me called Jeremy Formato @ FASTERPROMS ~ fb & ig...they do insane work and nothing but top notch! Side note: This was the same place that took a brand new stock straight from dealer Z06 C7 and put it into the 9sec 1/4 Bone STOCK! tune only. That is impressive

Buddy, you're absolutely right. But I bought the extended warranty and a tune will void that.

J, I haven't seen my car since Christmas Eve. I finally got over to Anil's yesterday and drove her for a couple of hours! It......was......awesome! The ZO7 upgrade looks great. I love the side canards on the aero kit. If you're talking about just the aero kit as an upgrade, I've considered that. But it reminded me too much of guys trying to pass off their Base TL as a Type S. I don't want to be a ZO7 wannabe.

Brother, you are too kind. I always hoped this car would be in the "exotics" class. But I just wasn't sure. I'm sure it's a matter of taste, but I've tried to make this car as exotic as possible.....classy but aggressive!

Any recent pics of the Vette? more than welcome to share. I wanna see with the addition appearance mods. And about a SC power adder/tuning. Just liek FORD offers a crazy list of covered power adder mods and tunes, I am positive Chevy has a line up available also. It can come at a hefty up billed cost vs the aftermarket mods providing the same or MORE power and performance but in your case, the coverage is still there. Ford maxes it out with the Shelby SUPER SNAKE & Shelby 1000...No Factory Warranty with those monstahs! both levels pushing 800 - and obviously 1000 (hence the name) HP.

Brother, if you knew the money I've invested into this car, I could have bought a Yugo with the money already spent on mods.....

very nice Steve. As far as the "Yugo" reference, that really ain't saying much as far as dollar amount. Wow...a Yugo! I am sure there are some who never even heard of those. Perhaps, arguably the worse car ever made lol! I haven't even seen one in years!

Because Race Car! See InstaGram #1000hpGOAL #FullyBuilt I now drive a $1000 beater ~ 1996 Civic #SaveThe4doors as a daily. Guess I finally learned u can not daily a race car lol!

LOL...and as I get further away from IG...you're starting to use it in full on conversation.

Wow, man...1000HP...that's insane! I've always respected that sort of project but honestly, if I have ever get to the point where the car I love driving is not a car I can really drive all the time and then I'm forced to drive something I don't care for...I'll probably take a step back. I don't have the balls for 1000HP!!!

But J, its exactly what I want and wanted eventually. Of course sometimes things happen sooner or unexpectedly and forces ones hands to start something earlier. That would be my case. This all goes back to the black Mustang. This was all my intention. Just not this soon. The white Mustang I already knew with the power and set up, its not IF it was going to happen but WHEN it was going to happen... Cyl 7 rod snapped at 5mph pulling into my block. So, you see shyt happens but if u gotta pay to play. If you don't want to or its not what u want, then its not for you. Its not for everyone. Just like the Acura was just a pit stop. I am a all around car guy but not a ACURA guy. I moved on to my true calling and passion. Hoep this all makes sense. Babblin lol

Hope this answers everyone's question. I do not mind driving a beater DD...lol! Its just to work and back. I am not in it for styling and profilin'. I am in it for the speed and hurtin feelings. lol

this contact was mainly a qk update since I have been crazy busy and involved with life and this build

when my soon to be accomplished goals are met, I hope to ditch the Civic (another stepping stone) and get a truck & trailer. But do not get it confused or twisted, the car is is still a street call fully loaded, int, ac, power everything and time to time maybe even a baby seat. Its just not a DD that is all.
