You will break something that's for sure. On a side note I ran a 11.8 in reverse on all season tires.

I think 12's are possible. It is just you get so many people claiming they will get 12's or 11's and none have followed thru yet. If you do you will be the first to follow up what you say. Not sureif you are spraying but that makes it easier also and I wouldn't call that just bolt ons.

Who are you talking about that ran 12's civic? I remember there was 1 turbo guy who had a 12 sec run posted in his signature. After questioning from people he never actually ran in the 12's the time he posted was his projected time of what he thought he would run.

My guess is something inside the transmission is the next weak link once I have the new DSS axles but who knows will see when the time comes. Trust me mark my words I will run somewhere in the deep 12's on spray or maybe even high 11's and high 12's on motor alone. I've been around drag racing since I was a kid. My first time ever down the track was when I was about 17 in my 92 mustang (which I still currently own and is building to this day) and I pulled the front tire with a bone stock 302 long block engine. I used to spray that car with a 200shot and ran 11.30's. I had a lincoln mark 7 with a 200 shot also that ran low 12's since it was so heavy lol. I had a drag motorcycle that I built from the ground up since it was bone stock when I bought it than ran 9.60's. I also currently own a drag/street 95 mustang gt that I slightly built the chassis and suspension wise to sell very soon for profit. I never brought it to the track since I bought it though. My pops has a 86 monte ss drag car that we've built. Basically what I'm trying to say is I've been around drag racing since I was a child. The only reason I haven't been to the track yet is because I don't have axles and a set of slicks for the car yet. It's pointless to go without it since the car won't be able to 60ft without it. I'm sure you understand where I'm coming from now.

FWD is a very different beast though.

Oh, and differential bearings - they suck.

Oh I know but it definitely is possible to cut way better 60ft's with axles and slicks on a fwd car. I have friends that cut 1.4's-1.8's all different setups and they are fwd. So it is possible, but the next weak link is probably the diff bearings like your saying so only the future will tell. Obviously I would work my way up with testing out on how to launch the car more and more aggressive. I'll probably baby it at first and slowly push it harder and harder to see how it acts.
