log style IM

Check these out, Any fabricators here working on something similar? I love the design on some of these...http://www.j32a.com/showthread.php?t=1783

since many civics and integras are now swapping J series hopefully the aftermarket for them really starts to evolve... with a few nice bolt on breather mods these motors easily produce 280 whp

That EK was an insane build that Paul did. The biggest benefit to that manifold on the Civic chassis was the ability to have a hood without an ugly ass hole in it.

I havent seen anyone do it on the CL yet.

it doesn't look thaaat good. IMHO our manifolds with a polished cover and painted body along with p2r plenums looks the best..

I have still yet to paint my manifold body.. but i got the other 2 done

yeah, I was thinking that was probably part of the reason too...

To CL-Progression

Well i didnt mean aesthetically pleasing per say...just that the idea, and look of the runners was a good concept I'd like to see dynos before and after with just the log style vs our ..or ours w/ p2r plenums.

SOme things arent about looks. Some are how they function. Personally i wouldnt care what it looked like under the hood as long as i got a gain from it People cant see it if the hood is closed.

I know what you mean. Ive had my '90 hatch waiting to be completed but the CL/work/life got in the way

I really miss my '88 hatch. It wasn't fast, but it shined in the corners. And 40mpg when I was beating the shit out of it was great.

Even with stickier, wider tires, coil overs, and sways, my old Civic would still out handle the CL. Even my old stock Prelude would out handle it. The Civic was 1900lbs, the 'Lude was ~2700, and the CL is pushing 3500lbs. In a straight line, the CL would dominate, but I have the most fun in the twisties.
