Awesome new shots Steven! It looks like the call to Canon was worth it
How many miles are you up to now? Can you give us a review of what it's like so far? What's your fuel consumption like (not that you are worried about it )?

Actually buddy, those are iPhone 5 pictures!
MPG is about 17 right now. The Stingray has ~700 miles on it (I got it 180 miles already on it).
Each time I drive it, it's SO much fun. It's such a kick to "get on it". I wish you lived closer-I'd take you for a ride.
I was at the bank today to deposit a check in the 24 hour ATM outside. 2 young guys from inside the bank saw me pull up and ran outside to see the car.
I also took it over to Jay Wolfe Acura yesterday so the Service Department guys could see it. You wouldn't believe the crowd around the car!

Someone in my town just picked up a blue one. I saw it the other night heading home from the gym. It looked absolutely gorgeous, especially at night under the downtown streetlights. I think that the exterior design is on par with cars that are $100k more.

I don't know how am i going to downshift from 7 to 3rd without going to 5th.

^^^ you will have to be in the real low rev range in 7th for that...not sure what the gearing ratio is on the C7 but a 7th to 3rd can/might result in an overrev....with the rev match, I am pretty sure you will over rev....
also in city, i dont think he goes over 4th or 5th....on the highway when you are just cruising is when you will get into 6th and finally 7th....I would just skip the 6th gear and go from 5th to 7th and back to 5th when downshifting...

I am pretty sure you can cruise at 50 in 7th. or even slower. If it is like anything previous Corvette. you will be in low rev 90% of the time in 7th, even at 80mph.
So downshift to 3rd does happen.
What gear is above neutral? 3rd or 5th?

also you need to make sure about the rev match....even when going from 4th to 3rd, the rev match feature, bumps up the rev by 500rpm...3rd to 2nd, the revs go up by almost 1000rpm....
and I bet Steven is not gonna try that LOL...

Vette is looking great Steven.
You remind me of how excited I was when I got my 1st Vette. Like I said, you're going to be a vette fan for life.
And like I said, the mods are endless and you really can make "your vette your own." Enjoy and best of luck with her again SB

Thanks guys-honestly, pictures do not do this car justice. When I saw pictures of the car for the first time, I wasn't terribly excited about the front grill. Seeing it in person changes that.
