It'd probably flow better with the mods I've done, but I dig the brown. For some reason it makes the car look..I dunno, nicer. If its above 50 degrees the top is down anyway.
A white hardtop may be in order for the summer. Its not fun for about 3 months, not even at 10pm.

In the summer, in Arlington, Texas, it stays above 85/50% humidity for at least 3 months straight. No rain, 105+ during the day. In a vert with a wimpy A/C its just no fun. If the dash heats up im screwed, I've got a shield which makes it bareable for when I return to the car, but if I dont use it theres no hope for getting the car to cool down. The heat goes right through the softtop. In the winter, it usually gets super cold around the middle of January and stays that way until March. Couple of snow days usually, nothing to severe. Heated seats work wonders, and the heater is good.

They make the car look like its squinting. Not really a fan of the eye lids.

I feel like the NC is the meaner/more aggressive Miata with its fender flares and bigger, bulkier appearance. I think the eyelids enhance that. The "mean" look I love.

Not sure if I'm a fan of the eyelids or not, though I am interested in when you're getting some new "shoes" for it.

Oooh. Can't wait to see those Enkeis on the car.

Lots of negative Nancys.
Im looking at the pictures and saying to myself, "that car is parked outside right now!"
Its like completing the exterior of the car...the lids are one of my favorite features.
Wheels are slated for before New Years. I actually toyed around with the idea of throwing my 215/45s on them, but I want to go as wide as I can.

Hey did you end up going forced induction yet? I know my neighbor has and his car is literally a beast, running the corcky bell setup and is putting 265 rwhp down and its outright disgusting.

Some dude
Love the kit, black badges, and blacked out lights. Those eye lids however...
I also wanted to ask what kind of spring set up you have. I've been looking at getting the Eibach spring/sway bar kit from tire rack in the spring.

Thanks dude. I usually dont like eyelids either, but fell in love with these when I saw them. They arent your typical thin/stick on eyelids. Super high quality. I think without the eyelids the lights look to big now, its super aggressive in person. Its funny, the Miata guys love 'em, but the folks over here don't really like them. Oh well.
I have not. I dont really plan on it to be honest, anytime soon. I've got every supporting mod you can have, and im perfectly fine with the get up and go its got. Its not Corvette fast, like your buddies, but I have my fun making her shine and taking curves at speed. On all the drives I've been on, I've not had a single car get away from me. From Astons, to S2000s, to Vipers. I'd kill myself with that much power on tap. Plus, I dont like the idea of constant tune ups and engine instability. If I had the 09+ I may think differently, they've got forged internals.
Corky builds some amazing kits and the tuning is getting to be awesome, its just not for me. I know when/if I got forced induction it still wouldn't be enough.
That being said...a third gen NC with any sort of forced induction, and/or anything above 245hp are monsters. Unbelievable power.
I have a custom built coilover setup consisting of Hyperco springs (300f/175r) and Koni (stripped and rebuilt) shocks. Its really more suspension than a daily needs, but I got a good deal.
I would skip the Eibachs, and go for the FM kit. The spring rates are MUCH higher and mated with some Tokico HTS shocks it the ride is a thing of beauty. I've got a buddy with some Eibach springs sitting in his garage, they worked well but the spring rates are pretty low. If you are dead set on them, I can get them for you for an awesome price. Anyway, he switched to the FM kit and it rides so smooth with the shocks adjusted down, but can get very sporty when tightened up. Although I've got similar rates, when compared, both cars drive completely different. His is WAY, WAY more smooth and daily drivable.
If you've got two people in the car as well as stuff in the trunk, you'll be sagging pretty bad. The FM kit is a little higher, but MUCH more composed. I would've opted for that setup had I not been addicted to changing my ride height, etc.
RX8 Yellow Dot sways (Front and Rear $100~)
FM Spring $300
Tokico HTS Shocks ($500-600)
A little more pricey, but you will be more than satisfied and you wont be bouncing off the bump stops, as you would with the Eibachs.
If you've got any more questions, please ask. I STUDIED suspension setups to the end of the world when I was looking.
