Who likes the license plate game? Guessing where a plate is from, that is. I do! Some state plates are very attractive while others I find very dreary.


Favorite:
1. Oklahoma - I was stunned how beautiful it is
2. Arizona - Very characterful, always know where they are from
3. South Carolina - Very peaceful looking
4. Wyoming - Wow!
5. Colorado - Are they still embossed like that? Otherwise, simple and attractive.


Least favorite:
1. Pennsylvania - Not much excitment
2. Virgina - Meh
3. Wisconsin - Legible but stolid
4. California and Louisana - Looks the same as each other
5. Ohio - I can hardly even recognize the letters Ohio so I never know where it is from


This should be fun, and no offense intended. Respect for all states. I would add Minnesota (since I am so sick of looking at it ) to my list of least favorites but I wanted to keep it to 5.

i hate the NJ plate... its ugly yellow...

I like the old Texas plate better than the change a few years ago and probably more than the newest. It had everything that defined Texas in a simple design and embossed characters. The middle one is ugly as shit.

I have the top one. The bottom one hasn't been produced in many many years.

I like the NC Blue Ridge Parkway Plates

 

 

I absolutely despise the newer NY plates

 

I've got those. They especially look good on the blue S2000 and blue CR-Z.

Least favorite: yellow/blue NY plates

I'm keeping my blue and white NY plates forever.

 

Wow. The blue & white ones were far nicer. Definitely more "iconic" in that you knew a NY plate when you saw one.

 

We have over 200 plate styles in VA, from ships, jets to other state Universities.

 

While the standard Indiana plates do suck, we rock these...

 

The NY yellow plates are horrible. I've had this for about a month.

The black and white delaware plate is by far my favorite.



I would move there for that and to lose my front plate

 

My favorites are the ones that don't nave to go on the front of the car, only the back.

 

I hear that DC wanted to change that to: TAXATION FOR THE GREATER GOOD

 

In the past, I considered registering my cars in Pa. for that exact same reason: single 'Preserve Our Heritage' plate in the rear.

 

I've come to work with whats available in my great state of NJ tho..



They look cool and I like to show my support, have a few friends who are officers.

Love the black Tejas plates, those are simple yet elegant.

Whoever thought up those ugly-ass current New York plates should have their eyes burned out. Those are fugly.

CA is working to bring back legacy design plates...I will put in the get a set of the black with yellow lettering for the Challenger...sadly I dont think I'll be able to keep my current vanity set.

Our plates in Ontario used to say "Keep It Beautiful" on the bottom, but they eventually gave up on keeping it beautiful and now they just say "Yours To Discover" lol

 

Funny, New Jersey's yellow plates have always been one of my favorites. They always catch my eye.

Same blue lettering on white background for decades now. Some vanity plates are available with a logo to the left, but that's about as exciting as it gets:

 

This Tag is what I have on my Graphite Luster 4G TL. The Delaware Blue and Gold Tag would look ugly. No ugly stick on my TL.

Delaware Black and White Porcelain Tags are extremely hard to get, and the low digit ones sell for $100K+. The State also issues Stainless Steel Black and White Tags, but the porcelain ones are the one to get if you can.

 

Only because it's probably a novelty in the Pac NW. I think we have boring plates.

 

Someone decided to go old school 70s style on those NY plates.

 

Not familiar with many past the midwest, but here in the Northeast I hate the newer NY plates (as I can see i'm not in the minority) and most of all these:



and I personally don't mind our CT plates, we have some good preserve the wildlife plates, but I want to order these when I get back stateside:

 

I was waiting for this plate to pop up. Looked so much better on my TL than my plain white CA plate.
