Fitment help-will 19x8.5 w/18mm & 22mm fit?

Hello all. Just need some quick help with wheel fitment on my 2009 TL FWD. Will 19x8.5" with 18mm offset on front and 19x9.5" with 22mm offset on rear fit? I dont want to lower, or roll fenders. Thanks!.....

You'd probably need a fender roll still. Thats a very low offset

If you are not going to lower the car - they'll "fit". But they're going to stick out quite a way.

The front tire will stick out 33mm more than stock, and the rear will stick out 42mm more.

If you don't lower - it's probably going to look pretty bad

I would stick in the 8-9in wide range and offsets of 45-32 seem to have been used on most people in the 4G forum with positive results.

ok. I found these great looking wheels, but it sounds like theyre not going to work then. I've been looking at M6 wheels, because a lot of guys here on this site have got me digging them.

Welcome! Check out lots of the threads in the Tires, Wheels and Suspension section - there are many people who have gone the aftermarket wheel route, and can give you lots of options.

https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-tl-tires-wheels-suspension-298/unofficial-pictures-aftermarket-rims-4g-tl-thread-768768/

I believe a member here did put some replica m6 wheels on his TL and they looked pretty awesome.

Pete and Eazy maybe you can help me as well with fitment:

1) will this fit flush with the fender 20 x 8.5, 35 offset.

2) " " 20 x 10, 30 offset; I don't necessarily want 10" wide wheels but I've found a great deal on rims I love so...

What offset are you guys running on RJs?

I just talked to the guy who had the wheels I was looking at, and he said he can special order them in different offsets. Do you guys think front 19x8.5" (with 35mm) and rear 19x9.5" (with 45mm) would work? Thanks again!

lol.. im runnin 19x10 +32 offset in the rear.. test fitted and no problem.

eatmypoo, if you get wider rims and tires, make sure to get an alignment.

and yes, 19x9.5 +45 would work.

SO you are curently running this setup with no issues? even with 10" in the rear? What year is your TL, and do you have any pics I can see? Thanks....

And yes, I get that people frown upon me having a staggered setup, and really, I dont want a staggered setup. I dont want to deal with the hassle of buying new tires instead of rotating, but these wheels are damn sweet. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...84.m1438.l2649
So I really dont care what Mr Marco says...... Im pretty sure I'm not going to get them anyways, I guess I'm just curious

not that the moment, i have the rims and have test fitted them already, it fits good, also im lowered.

waiting to get camber kits and TPMS sensors in before i put wheels on..

and yes im running staggered. its mostly for show, i dont drive my car much, probably once or twice a week so i dont worry.

look at the rears, lol

btw these are iforged seneka that i picked up with new rears and used front tires for 800 bux.. got a good deal on these

WOW!!! GOD DAMN those things are super sexy. I love em'. I would love to go staggered, but mines a daily driver.
Ive decided to just go with a 19x8.5 all 4 corners with a 37 offset. I think thats gonna work just fine from what I've read. Do you guys think that will work ok?

Potmilk do the lips on wheels tend to be fragile? I'd like to get a 20" wheel for the summer: lip+concave, and I'm not sure if I can afford forged so it might be cast...

forged over cast. yes, lips do bend if its not strong enough.

you will regret getting cast once you have it.

save alittle more, get better wheels.

go on bmw forums to look for used forged, local craiglist. etc..there is nothing wrong with used wheels.

I tried eBay, craigslist briefly and have been doing some research (there's like a million wheel manufactures); I'd like to get forged but they're at least 1k a wheel and anything I like is 1.3k and up a wheel + tax, tire, ship, etc.

F'!! I love those BBS, but it's a staggard setup. Mine is AWD, and in 6 months alone i've driven 12.5k miles. I don't understnad why it's not a probem on audi's, bmw's, etc?

Edit: Those (BBS) would be a summer set for me.

i dont think stagg will affect AWD system as long as you have the same rolling diameter for all wheels.. meaning that tire size has to be all the same..

how am I going to fit the same size tire on a smaller/larger rim? example: will a 235/40/20 fit on front/rear?

Edit: damn 15/22mm offsets, they'll stick way out. Thanks for the link potmilk; I knew it was too good to be true =(

He's a member here - those are 21's IIRC. Ac Schnitzer wheels - crazy $$$

My wheels are 8.5 wide - 20" with a +40 offset. I've been toying with the idea of maybe going down to 19" forged wheels that I can put all seasons on and use all year. Probably lipless wheels so they look just as big as the RJ Legend type II's do with a lip...

I'm running a +40 offset on my RJs. I think you'll be fine with 20x8.5 35 offset. RJ legend 2' are 20x8.5 but 40 offset. They have a 32 offset one also but I think that may be to clear the brakes on the RL

I'm not sure bout 10" wide wheel. I wouldn't go wider than 9" tho

Thanks, the offsets of the wheels pot linked me to were too aggressive and would stick out too much, I'm going to get some BMW style wheels 20 x 9, 35mm offset.

remember HeartTLs

you get what you pay for, dont cheap out.

tires and rims..

See this guys thread, fake bbs lm almost killed him

http://g35driver.com/forums/wheels-t...-ls1-rims.html

*WARNING* BE CAREFUL IF YOU ARE LOOKING INTO PURCHASING CHIKARA LS1 RIMS! I lost control of my car because the rims are defective and one of them broke on me! Just thought I'd share my story so some of you guys might not end up in my situation.

I was driving in a tunnel and suddenly my car started swerving. I was afraid that one of my tires blew out, but after I finally came to a stop I found that my rim broke on me and separated from my tire. Thank God for the Anti-Slip function on our cars... it helped me control the car with minimal damage & I suprisingly didn't crash into any walls. I tried contacting the company 88Rotors and they haven't taken responsibility. They told me that they haven't seen anything like this happen. I had to replace my rear camber arms and also my rear struts.

Rim separated form tire and was still attached to wheel studs:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/50746687@N03/5250167010/

This is how my tire ended up:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/5074668...n/photostream/

Close up of rim:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/5074668...n/photostream/

Rim cracked on the inside:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/5074668...n/photostream/

Cracked:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/5074668...n/photostream/

*Currenly rolling on some 17" Evo Enkeis LOL... got them for a good deal and in good shape. Hopefully I'll be able to get better rims soon! These don't look so bad on the car...
http://flic.kr/p/8ZH66d

I'm just glad that I'm safe and that there wasn't too much damage to my car!

Sorry couldn't get the images to load so I just added the links

Yes, I remember seeing a thread long ago. A female member on here (don't recall the name) put 22's on, I believe she lives in Florida; I wouldnt suggest doing that unless the roads are PERFECT in your state.
