Thanks for sharing Josh.
I guess we're to guess why the motor was pulled? I'm assuming it wasn't just to touch up those white areas.
Or have you been down and out this whole time while the motor got rebuilt?

Oh no dude, this is still down from 4mo ago. This is now fast fwd progress up to date. Still the same reason why the motor was pulled back in late Jan / early Feb. Popped cyl #7 rod. Just a slow DO IT RIGHT 1X Only mentality.

I'm assuming you aren't sponsored, right? You have to have dumped in as much as you paid for the car by now.

I am not sponsored... I wish! I have dumped lots of money into this car, partially from the money I got from the black one when initial purchased the white one and went ham on it with all sorts or odds and ends. Besides that, this fully built engine build has pretty much put me in the ball park of $8k Could definitely be more expensive. I do get some great deals and price cuts along the way. + saving Labor cost.

And ... Yes she is! #BestWifeEVER

Stainless Steel black braided lines cut, fittings and shrink wrap to Catch Can installed. Slowly coming along. Start up should be mid next week (Tues/Weds) After this pic was taken is when the notch was cut out shown above ^ The Intake cover has a slight lopsided twist to it for resting on top of the harness.

Steven, the red belts look as of they came that way. You adding them is a Nice touch. I would have never thought about seat belt color. And I do love the CF! Side splitter with the red edge is niiiiiiiiiiiice! Is it tuned? canned or Custom? Do u know what u are making compared to stock when purchased? Thanks for sharing

^^^ Buddy, thank you-you are too kind!

I actually got the idea of the red seat belts from Ferrari and Porsche. This is the only C7 in the world to have red seat belts! Ironically, GM is now going to offer red seat belts for and extra $400 for 2017. Trendsetter......you be the judge.

I love the Carbon Fiber too-obviously, that's my M.O. I trimmed the side skirts and front splitter with the red line. It gives them "an edge", if you will.

The engine is not tuned or anything. I was going to add headers, but I discovered it negates the warranty. So instead, I've added an exhaust (Corsa Extreme with Double Helix X-pipe), a Cold Air Intake (best in the business-Halltech) and a Throttle Body Spacer. Depending on who you believe and listen to, I calculate my Stingray is making approximately 510 HP and 505 LB/FT of torque.

^^^^ Thanks dude....it's been 2-1/2 years of modding!

Actually, 500+ horsepower isn't that much when you consider the ZO6 has 650 horsepower. Plus, if you send your ZO6 to Callaway, they tear out the OEM supercharger, add their own supercharger, cut a hole in your hood (so the supercharger can see the sunlight and BAM, you're at 757 horsepower and 777 lb/ft of torque!

Very Nice Steven! I am a fan of the red seat belt and a fan of the ONLY GM product I like. lol Oh besides the gorgeous Cadillac CTS-V. Sucks about the warranty because those LS motors do wake the hell up with a Cam, LTH & Tune PLUS adding to your already (Nice ass choice!) exhaust set up would be one nasty sounding and running Vette. Corsa is definitely top of the game in exhaust systems. The same goes for the Mustang line.

Just a small sign of whats to come in this week to come. It definitely would have been last week but dry rotted fuel lines put a stop to that and needed to revamp the fuel system off the rails with Teflon SS e85 compatible lines with black anodized AN fittings... Hey, mind as well while we in there lol.

My Bday was May 4th WEDS, My 3 yr old turn 4 on May 7th SAT and My Daughter turns 14 on SUN 8th... no car stuff if I want to remain sleeping on the bed with benefits.

in case anyone wanted to get as complete or piece together custom SS lines and AN fittings check out AN FITTINGS ONLINE DOT COM Thats where I get a lot of my stuff from and some of the best prices on that expensive hardware as many of u know. Piecing together some lines with fittings can sometimes cost a arm and a leg. Just passing on the hook ups

So, I open Acurazine to share my good news with the gang... Low & Behold what do I fine on the opening home page??? (not surprised...) In a link that takes you to random pic galleries or trending, I see Jeremy with his right side shirt lifted up showing he face swapped with his nipple. My eyes! I need bleach!

On with the original post I intended to share... SHE'S ALIVE! The car started right up with no major issues. I am stocked! There still some small issues we are finding during idle testing. Fuel pumps are or may be showing signs of going bad. Still testing that issue before going in and replacing. If so, this would be for sitting for 4mo+ and E85. We will see. The next is the thermostat did not want to open at boiling point but the car remained stable. Thermostat spring binds. New thermostat ordered from Ford. And last, we have no idea why but the fans stay on after car is shut off. All or most will be looked at later today

Start up and idle vid clip can be seen on my IG/JayVee75

Boy, I am trying to tell you guys!!! I am about to empty a 5gal gas tank on top of this car and set it a blaze!!! The car is done...and NOT! Just as all systems go and just about to set a day to start Data Logging and Tuning, The fuel pumps go bad. This was a worry to begin with and ended up showing its ugly face.

As some of you know, e85 is a different grade of gas. E85 has components that can be harmful or damaging to fuel lines and in this case, pumps from sitting. When is use and flowing, all is fine as long as everything else is e85 compatible. But sitting, its starts to eat, rot or foul parts. This was also a issue a few weeks ago when I had to upgrade the fuel lines coming off the fuel rails. They were completely dry rotted and when slightly moved or squeezed, they literally bleed and squirted fuel through the sidewalls of the lines themselves. Now, all has been replaced with SS Teflon fuel line made for e85. My new 2014 GT500 pump assembly should be here tomorrow or Tues. ~ Onward!

New...But nothing "NEW" lol. The NEW is its rolling and comes out once in a while to tweek the tune but its still not 100%. My buddy just does not have the available time to continuously invest to complete the car and tune. Its always a hr here or there but spread out in between. So here is some pics I shared on IG when the car was taken out to install the stock hood back on...BUT! as my luck goes, I did not remove the striker bar from the fiberglass Cobra R hood when I sold it just about 2 weeks ago. Picking up the striker today and lawd knows when I will have another chance to install the stock hood back on again. But until then, let me take a selfie! You should have seen how many claimed #BrokenNeck victims along the way.

It has to be... everything else is just a shell But I do like to keep it very subtle and plain on the outside regardless. The exterior does have its changes that does not come with the GT and there is more to come as soon as she is fully ready and rolling. Besides a new painted fender on deck for that passenger boo boo, I also have a RTR deck lid panel eliminating the GT faux cap in the rear between the 2 tail lights. I also have a GT500 option spoiler to add to the deck lid. This should and hopefully round the exterior design nicely.
