You go from Pilot Sport A/S Plus to Conti DWS for winter? I haven't personally driven both tires in the snow but I would think the difference betwen the two would be marginal at best either way. Why not get winter tires for your OE wheels instead? An RL with SH-AWD and some decent winter tires would be unstoppable in the snow.
Love the way you're going with your mods BTW. Subtle and classy.

thanks for the kind words. Here's the reason I went with DWS for the winter:

I have no need for a dedicated snow tire yet I wanted the best A/S tire as I might get snowed in when I visit PA. Also, these are cheaper than snow tires and got a 50k warranty on them.

well, the snow finally started going...and going strong still. I was looking all day for an excuse to go out and play and my chance has finally come.
I watched a cop car try to push a BMW 328i through an intersection and fail, video below:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PeETCNPX8SA
and I decided this is the excuse I was looking for to go play with my new snow shoes (Conti DWS)
Here is what it looked like:
being really bored, I figured I'll just push em out.
When I went outside, my car had at least 6" of snow on it and the gloves locked in the trunk. Using a box from a power strip I pushed the snow off.
After all the windows were cleared I simply drove out :insert big grin here:
Then I backed up and drove up behind em, offered some help and stuck a carpet on his trunk to protect the bumper.
Too bad for me, all the pushing was making my car go under his...I am a bit too low to the ground to be seriously pushing anything I guess.
Long story short I went around the other way and pushed em backwards with my bare hands, the end.
Oh yeah...after he was gone I just drove back into the pile of snow that was my parking spot.
Conti DWS, thumbs up for light and deep snow traction.

Rather than push and risk damaging the bumper cover, why not pull him out using the front tow hole on his car and the small hook on the rear of the RL. Attach a rope and drive forward!
Tow Hole on 328 (square little cover on the lower left):
On the RL, there should be one a well on the front, and the hook is located in the trunk that you screw in.

you guys all silly. We never get this much snow in NYC, you think we got rope in our cars? hahaha
btw, the cop car has rubber bumpers on it so it was a relatively safe bet to give em a push.

I'd think a muffler like this would look/sound great.

the tips are that size on purpose (to look stock and I was also limited by 7" width). My first choice was quad 3" tips but I ordered the wrong pipe size so they are now chilling in a box...
As far as new mufflers, I really don't want to increase the noise levels as I love the quiet manner in which RL handles it self.
as far as tires, they are 245/45/18", stock size and are my winter setup. Can't wait for summer to put the RJs back on and put some summer rubber on them.

only difference is that there's no cut out for the exhaust, mine wouldn't fit. Plus I didn't want it to look too agressive. I was going for the stealth look until RJs hit.

Thats not agressive. That would be loud n1 pipes. Your rims are more agressive then those megan mufflers. The mufflers on you RL look slightly Ebay. Not being rude so please understand. I dont want this to turn into an argument at all i can assure you .

Yes. But it just smoothen the tone you have right now. If you like it, great. I'm glad you like what you were going for so maybe the tips are just wrong for "me"...haha. I'm gonna leave this alone now... I by no means want to put you on the defensive.
