ZDX Towing Capacity?

ZDX Towing Capacity?

Does any one know why the ZDX is limited to 1500lbs towing capacity where the MDX is 5000lbs?

Same transmission, engine and chassis - so why the difference?

i agree that is pretty strange. But all i need to tow is a jetski and the zdx does it fine.

It's due to the structure of the floorpan. The MDX has a heavier and more reinforced floor so it can tow more.
