Is the leather on the ZDX's dashboard real, fake, or a combination?

 

It's real, and quite high-quality IMO.

 

Yup definitely real. But the center console and the two pieces running up to the dash in the center are Vinyl, kind of pisses me of in a way

 

Really. what makes you think its fake. I thought it was real this whole time. I know the door panels in the rear are fake. They feel different like rubbery

 

That's what I thought, too, Hawaii. If the material on the center console is different from the dash, they did a GREAT job with the fakery.

 

Let me state that im not 100% sure the center is not real. I dont think it is, the texture and look of it screams Vinyl. Next time you get in your car look at where the center meets the dash. You can clearly tell they are different material. I dont see why they would use two different types of leather. Plus it looks and feels just like the Vinyl in my old NSX.

 

I never saw a nsx dash but heard that it was fake except the early production versions and that they changed to fake cause the leather shrinks too much causing it to pull apart. I know my dash leather shrinks on the passenger side cause everytime I clean it pops off by the vent when it dries and I have to push it back on.

You maybe right the center part maybe fake for the same reason but still fools my eye. Ill look closer later tonight.
