Hi ZDXers, how are you? I am noob.

I am in process of getting ZDX, there 2 I found and they both CPO. One is with Tech and one is Advance, I post a link. Recommendation on which to get, price, and any advice. Anyone here from San Antonio?

Tech (I test drive, try to make offer at 30k plus tax and fee) they said no

Get the Advance without doubt. Thats a good price for that mileage (but you can always get it down by 1k) provided that you saw the car in person and it looks good but check Carfax none the less.

yes i like the one with the advance package too, but they are one price dealer kind of thing (no negotiation) so i gotta wait till they drop it first before making the trip. i was hoping if someone from our forum maybe from the area to take a look at the cosmetic condition first cause i don't want to fly out there and see there are too many hidden scratches and dings. should i still look in doing prepurchase protection if it work out?

Where are you located? I'm in Austin.
Gunn has had that Z advertised for a while, I believe, so it's not moving. There's a nice rare color combo Grigio/Umber tech in Austin, asking $35k with 22k mi. I test drove recently. There's 2 or 3 high miles Zs at the dealers here, one is a Base and a Cherry Tech one at Carmax, for $31k, been in a wreck.
edit- oops you must be in MN?? I thought you were in TX.

I want an Advance. Once Acura announced the Z was discontinued a few months ago seems like demand picked up a little and used asking prices have firmed up somewhat from before IMO.

oh hey 123, how far are you from san antonio? have you check out the gunn one yet? they are firm on the price so i guess i gotta wait...i really like the gunn on if the everything check...if you have time, would you mind checking it out lol?

you can't find one closer? I see plenty of white Adv on autotrader if that is your preference.

oh wow texas is big, there isn't any cop zdx adv, i would have bought one if they are near me, we have one for tech package but i want the advance now, how your zdx searching so far?

CPO is a good perk but don't forget any Z still under the factory 4 yr/50k warranty, you can also buy the extended Acura warranty for 3 or more? added years. Has Acura changed the rules on buying the extendeds? anyone know?
I bought my current Acura CLS used from an individual and later purchased the 3 yr. extended online from an Acura dealer.
On such a rare car I wouldn't limit it to CPO only imo.

I haven't seen an Adv that I couldn't resist within 750-1000 miles of here. Most are Techs and the Adv's seem to be white or black, 2 colors I dont want, tho black looks amazing, it's too hot in TX for it. I'm pulling for Umber but could live with Taupe interior. I'd probably get a Grigio or a Silver, tho Bronze is very interesting but rare. I'm not in a rush, I still love my CLS but have car fever too. good luck.

haha that good that you don't like white or black cause that what I like, car gurus.com indicate that gunn zdx cpo is still quite overprice...i am driving acura rl 96 though, still run like a champ so not in a hurry. I would like to find a white with umber interior, that would be a dream color combination, gunn acura drop your damn price already so i can buy it...does austin or antonio ever snow or is it mostly warm year round?

White was never offered with Umber interior on the Z.
Black with Umber would look striking, never seen one tho.

10, 11 White offered Sumatra (very dark greyish brown) or Taupe
12 - Taupe only, Sumatra dropped
2013 white offered 3 int choices- ebony, seacoast and greystone.
seacoast is light tan, almost cream and greystone is a light grey.

Umber only offered with Black, Grigio or Bronze in 10, 11
and w/ Black or Grigio in 2012.
for 2012 Bronze was dropped.

for more info than you asked- thru 2012 5677 Zs were sold, majority are 2010 models.

Sumatra int. to me was kinda strange colored. they should have always offered ebony int with white...

snow and ice are a rarity in these parts.

for accuracy, those colors only apply to Tech and Adv, which were the same.
Base Zs never had Umber or Sumatra int, nor Bronze or Cherry ext. and except for Umber, all these colors were dropped in 2012 for any Z.

Sumatra is kinda rare, so if you want a used white Adv Z, it's probably gonna be Taupe inside.
Used 10-12 black Zs have 3 int choices, ebony, taupe, or rare umber.

sumatra is an absolutely stunning color actually, I love it
nice mix of brown and dark violet
black and taupe interions are too common

I've never seen sumatra in person. I don't think it was offered on any other Acura? I don't think it photographs well. I'd consider it once seeing it. I've had black int for years and would want a change. Taupe looks ok, but I like how only umber and I assume sumatra wrap the dash. Taupe defaults to black on the dash.

I notice the new 13 colors, seacoast and graystone wrap the dash too. I guess only Taupe never did, odd. That's the most striking part of the leather dash imo and Taupe was maybe the most common color.

Contrasting color are very hard to find especially striking color combination are definitely rare. I will be happy as long as long as I get a white exterior since I will tint windows so it will be hard to look in anyway. taupe are nice but hard to maintain. I just hope gunn drop the price already. There are many good deal on z out there, not a lot of cpo though, gunn is probably the best deal I see so far. It good that Texas don't get much snow, car in mn take a beating cause all the salt in the road just eat away on the bottom.

Does anyone of you have experience with adding additional protection on your car such 3M shield? Protective coating on zdx ? These were offer to me when I just about buy the zdx near by my home? Do you thing is worth it?
