Sport+ mode on Type-S
Sport+ mode on Type-S
By now, I am 100% certain the handling in sport+ mode is quite different compared to the regular sport mode if I just switch from normal to sport. See the post in my long-term report on how to activate sport+.
The difference is not from tire pressure, nor from ride height. The car sit at similar two-to-three-finger front wheel gap whether in sport or sport+ mode.
The best example to show the difference is that in sport+ mode, I have had a few occasions where I got caught off guard by the more-than-expected, spontaneous rotation, that I had to unwind the steering angle.
The calibration makes a lot of sense for sharpened handling, so I feel this is crafted by GM/Acura, and not some accidental fail+safe mode.
The setting seems sticky across power cycles, but once set, the only way to back out to regular sport mode is by switching back to normal mode first.
