Should I grabbed a ZDX or what?
Hey guys... I currently have a 2010 Mayan Bronze AWD TL and love it. It's in mint condition. It doesn't even have a door ding yet (where's that wood to knock on ). I've been torn with the ZDX. I would've bought one if it was in stock when i bought my TL.
Anyways.. Did any get rid of the current generation TL for the ZDX? Would anyone else leave the TL for a ZDX? I know you're all current owners, but if I buy one, it'll be tomorrow.
I'm looking at a certified used with like 17k on the odometer.
I'm not in the position to keep my TL if the ZDX is purchased. No room with the other toys....
Any suggestions? I'll be up for a while pondering this decision. Oh yea, I owe 12k on the TL so I'll be 3x in the hole with the ZDX. LOL

It's holding up good I thought it would be a problem but it still looks good as new. I mean other than the wrinkling on the sides of the drivers seat. Then again I don't have much traffic in and out of my car either.
I have a car wash that cleans the seats but I also wipe them down every couple of months with armarol leather wipes. All the umber leather not just the seats

Fiscally... I'm good. Kind of worried about the comfort of my TL and going to the ZDX. I've double and tripled my payments on my TL to pay it off early. I liked that option. I wouldnt be dbl/trp payments on this one. I may be stuck with it if I buy it. I see used resale on TLs are still pretty good. Cant say the same for the ZDX. I like the uniqueness. I was also informed the TL is going away and merging with the TSX to make a TLX or something similar. Cant remember the exact name.

I have both... TL - more agile, better mpg, easier rear seat access, more rear seat leg room, more suited as daily driver, quicker, more head room, more trunk space, cheaper insurance, stiffer and louder ride. Zdx - comfy ride, polarizing looks, wind noise due to panoramic roof, little trunk space. If i were to choose only 1, id go with the zdx. It may not be the economical choice but theres something about it that i just love

Effers only want to give me 15 for my 09 awd TL. I got him up to 16 by sitting there for an additional 2 hours. Now he wants 37.5 out the door for a CPO '10 black umber with 34k on the odometer. Is that inline or what?
Oh yea. Tech pkg.

Take your 09 awd TL to Carmax if there's one near you. Have them appraise it. I guarantee they'll offer more than a normal dealer. Take the print out from Carmax to the dealer and if they don't offer you what Carmax is offering you for your trade then walk. By the way, is your TL an 09 or 10? One post says 10 another says 09. But to answer your original question, I once owned an 09 awd TL before the 2013 ZDX I have now. Loved everything about my TL, but love the uniqueness of the ZDX more.

That is too high. Got my cpo may last year with 16k miles for 32500 plus ttl. Take note this was over a year ago before the 13 came out.

Ok... So I might just pay off my TL and keep it as my primary vehicle. If that's the case, should I wait on the Z? Do you guys think the price will continue to drop or will it rise since there are only about 6000 of them around... I'm starting to see more higher mileage Zs being sold vice lower mileage ones.

It looks like the OP is set on buying a ZDX, but I will chime in after living with one for about five months now. One thing that my wife and I find occasionally inconvenient about he ZDX is cargo space. It is limited. This is in comparison to the MDX, which we have access to whenever necessary. The styling is polarizing. Strangers either dislike it passionately or want to buy one after seeing it. We have had a few friends commented that they like the ZDX much better in person than looking at its pictures. The MGP is average for its class.
We, otherwise, love the ZDX for its unique styling, power, comfort, features, and design philosophy. If you can, I would recommend getting one with the Advance package. We very much enjoy switching between "Comfort" and "Sport" modes. Otherwise, the interior appointment is very nice, right up there with the big luxury sedans from the top German and Japanese manufacturers.
Happy shopping!

I'm thinking this is a great deal. However, I dont want the light interior due to staining etc... grrrr.. Hopefully I can use it as a guide to negotiate with another dealer. This dealer is only 10 minutes from me.

Must be a regional thing regarding what is considered a good deal. I just got my wife a '13 ZDX with 3k miles for $41k. It was an Acura corporate car from Torrence, CA. so we pretty much got a "new" car at a used car price. The '13 has all options so no worries about choosing and is the least expensive for insurance.
