Thumbs up RonJon ZDX Concept

Hello,

I'm a ZDX owner and this is my first post. I met up with Rondy from RonJon this morning and wanted to see how much interest there was in the following ZDX parts (See Concept Below). I like to add a personal touch to my cars, So hopefully there's enough interest to start making some nice RonJon parts for the ZDX!

It looks good. I think the ZDX community is still too small to vote, but it will get there... I'll be saying bye bye to my 08 TL-S and going with a ZDX, since the other models are fugly, and I'm sure many will follow my footsteps.

Can something be designed to deal with the fog grille inserts? (yes, those black long 'why you are there' grilles) .... and my 2nd peeve, is the exhaust... can we actually install a quad there? it looks unfinished....that red reflector belongs on a tricycle.

Ray, in your honest opinion, how bad is the space issue in the car?

I agree with you on the exhaust I had actually covered the reflector at one point with flat black vinyl to see what it would look like (not bad at all). If you look at the pic of my ZDX I had the front grill and the trim rings around the fog light area painted Crystal Black to match the car and in my opinion it looks better than factory. As far as the interior space goes it's the perfect balance between the MDX and the TL and handles 2 couples fine. I'm average sized (I Think) 6'1" 205lbs and have no issues.

I have no issues with space in my ZDX. I actually find it more practical then my type-s, since the back seats fold when required. I was able to go to ikea in the ZDX, whereas before I needed to borrow my moms Mdx.

As for the silver surroundings around the black grilles, and the rear red reflectors - I'm thinking of overlaying mine.

And as for the ronjon mods, a lip kit and an RJ grille would be nice. I'm not a big fan of the dumped look, and the stock 19s look nice enough for me

We are definetly making 20" and 22" x 9" forged monoblock wheels and 3 piece wheels with a new design other than the DT3-F we currently carry. As for the grille, I would liek to continue the tradition, but the ZDX doesn't sell enough to justify. The Lfront lip in ABS might be an option however. All depends on feedback and support for a part for such a scarce car.

I'm going to a dealership today to check it out.

Ron, give it time, the car is expensive... 55K (w/advanced)... More will climb aboard eventually. My only sway of staying with Acura vs bmw/benz..is that I know my hondas inside out reliable.

If you decide to get one, let me know - I'll give you a number for the dealer who got me a great price.

To get back on topic - I don't think the market is big enough for Ron to make an investment into a grill or a kit. Just look at how many people post here vs the TL or the TSX section.
The ZDX is in a different market then the other cars. And this is an unfortunate fact.

The wheels really set the ZDX off well!
