Possibility for roof rack?
Hi All,
New member here. I'm considering the purchase of a ZDX. Considering the "glass roof" and all, does anyone think it's possible (or has anyone installed one) to fit a universal roof rack on the ZDX to carry some extra gear? (i.e. ski rack, slim cargo carrier, etc.). Or is a roof rack completely out of the question with this vehicle?
thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks, ZhenyaF for your reply.
Since I'm not a current ZDX owner (yet?), do you think it's possible for a universal rack mount will fit? Are there rain gutters that would allow such a fit? -- or does the glass roof completely prevent this?
I love this vehicle, as Motor Trend has proven that the ZDX is a capable SUV/Crossover. I'm sure that there are other ZDX owners and potential owners who may require a roof rack on this vehicle to accomodate their lifestyles (transporting bikes, kayaks, skis, roof carriers, etc).

Since the glass roof is pretty unique and the ZDX sales numbers are small there probably aren't any after market racks on the market. Even Acura doesn't offer one as an option. You might be able to build your own with, as you said, a universal mount with straps and suction cups on the feet. A better alternative for bike hauling might be a trailer hitch and a bike rack that fits into it.
