After long using USB audio interface I decided to try the good old CD and to my surprise found out that there is no CD changer in Advance package, while there is a 6-disk changer in Base. How come?! ELS and nav unit have eaten all the space in the unit?

Because there's a 15 gig hard drive dedicated to storing music. When a CD is played it's automatically stored on the hard drive.You can store a LOT of music, make playlists, etc., it's more versatile than a straight CD player.

Considering that we have a USB audio that can eat many gigs of memory, I personally would prefer to have the CD changer instead of HDD for ripped audio for high quality music.

Anyway this drawback is not serious for me but still quite surprising
