Lowering Options?

I'm looking for some lowering options for the ZDX. Massive amount of lowering because I want to turn it into a wagon. What are my options? also is there enough clearance for me to do so? Probably looking to replace the stock tires with a different set of 20's with low profile tires too for additional wheel-well clearance.

Model is so new and it is not selling like hot cakes so you have to wait OR you can contact some suspension company like guys in MDX section did and I think some company is interested in making lowering springs for them.

+1 on what tmnhs81 said,or you can research if the zdx uses the same suspension component with the mdx, 'cause i read somewhere that theyre are somewhat built on the same platform. So probably they share the same suspension

cross-shopped it with the honda accord crosstour, but the ZDX handles better and is just a better deal for the money. no one else makes quality that lasts like a honda(acura). and its a beauty. I would never buy a subaru, let alone a used one. on top of that, I already bought my car.

I went to a local shop today, and they looked at it and said they can find something that works.. and i was like.. wtf does that even mean? i'm not going to let them experiment on my car at my own risk. Contacted a company for suspensions, and they said they could make one.. but they would need my car for 3-4 weeks.. and I would get a "discount" on the product. no thank you.

^Well, that is the only way for them to develop new parts. Someone has to start just like people in 4G TL side did, his username escapes me at the moment but he let them use his car for new springs and exhaust. You be the first and start it then there might be some people that may follow..

Or maybe post here..
https://acurazine.com/forums/1-2g-mdx-2001-2013-166/solution-01-06-mdx-lowering-springs-group-buy-here-769669/
they might help you out, maybe ZDX shares suspension components with MDX, you never know..

I think its a matter of time...

Did you consider an air suspension setup? those are easier to custom/tailor make...

BUMP! Has anyone heard anything about any lowering options yet for the ZDX? Test drove one last night and really liked it.

I think the ZDX would look even better with a mild to medium drop.

So far 1300 people have looked at this thread but only 13 have posted. That low number reflects the lack of interest for "lowering options." The only option for lowering the RDX was Eibach. Now that they have sold out of their initial run of springs, Eibach has no plans to make more (for lack of interest).
My guess is that sales of the model are SO few and far between (total ZDX sales last month were a mere 128); it is going to be a long time before there are enough of you to warrant production of a custom suspension component like a lowering spring.

I wonder if Eibach or Tein was given a stock spring and a promise (say group buy?) of X amount of sets being sold would they do a run of springs?

A 1 - 1.5" drop would be perfect (IMO) for this vehicle. Just enough to take some of the wheel gap out, but not so much as to compromise the overall wheel/frame clearance or over stress the sub-frame.

I agree that a 1-1.5" drop would be ideal. When I called Eibach last week the guy told me I would have to buy 150 sets to make it happen. Seems a bit much I thought. Tein told me they could build a one off setup for around 4-5 grand. It would be nice to see a AZ vendor step up and get something going if that’s possible. Only time will tell unfortunately.

Another thought is KSport and the nice thing about them is they are local in my town so I could be the test dummy, if they are willing to do something I will let you guys know!

ZDX on bags would be the way to go.

Think about it this way. Acura is selling 150 of these a month on average. The demand is just not there for much if ANY aftermarket support. So, if you do anything it'll have to be custom.

A nice set of 20's an a proper air ride suspension would set the ZDX off right.
