Impressions So Far...
I bought my Black (with Taupe interior) ZDX with the Advanced Option in October 2010. I've taken some 4-6 hour drives from NJ to W. Virginia and Rhode Island plus many 2+ hour drives down the shore. In a word the car is AMAZING! I've never been more comfortable. I REALLY like the Adaptive Cruise Control for long drives since it works very well. Plus the ventilated seats are something I've been looking for in my car. When driven sensibly the gas mileage is 22+ but a heavy foot or sport setting will drop that quickly down to 15-17 mpg. I don't see many on the road and have only seen one other ZDX in the wild in New York City a few weeks ago. Finally the sound system is the best I have ever heard in any car at any price. I just plug in my iPhone and everything is available by voice.
A very enjoyable ride!

Welcome to the club. The ZDX is the best cruising car ever. The exclusivity factor is nice as well. In 4700 miles of driving I've only seen three others on the road. Two weeks ago, as I was gassing up, another ZDX pulled up to the pumps and we exchanged comments about our rides and shook hands like long lost cousins, kinda neat.
Got a 2010 ZDX w/SHAWD & Advance pkg yesterday when I had my TL in for routine service. I've only seen a handful here in SoCal on the roads, and have never seen one up close or been inside, so FWIW, here's my initial impressions:
Exterior -- looks unique, aggressive, and wide... this one had the metallic running boards installed that looked very cool, but were very annoying as I couldn't get in without banging my lower leg on them (would be annoying as hell with nice pants on and dirty boards!)... even the dealer rep said they were poorly designed... overall, I'd say the car looks pretty cool, although there were a couple angles that I wasn't loving.
Interior -- loved the cooled seats and multiple heating/cooling settings for the seats... wish my TL had the BSM system... I liked the interior and a lot was familiar, although honestly I like the TL's a bit better... the storage tray and center console was very roomy and well designed... loved the panorama-style roof, although I noticed when driving around with the sunroof tilted open, there was some occasional sharp-clicking coming from up there somewhere that was very annoying (and assume they could fix it)... I thought the stereo sounded very good, but I think it's a bit better in the TL (cabin acoustics slightly different)... the soundproofing in the ZDX was better and it was quieter than the TL... handling was very good... I pushed it around corners a few times and it stayed planted... liked the switch between comfort & sport, but honestly didn't see much difference (although my experience was limited for sure)... rear storage is very un-SUV-like and probably less than the TL's trunk space.
Overall -- this is a unique car, and for me, while I like most of what it's about, couldn't justify the $10K+ price premium over a TL. It looks very cool from most angles, and got lots of looks (in the black color) as I drove around (reminded me of when I first started driving my TL around 2 years ago). Drives very nicely, so if you like the look and want a sport sedan type car that's a bit higher and very distinctive, and you've got the $$ to spend, this one's a winner!

Hope you are satisfied with ZDX, It has many more optional and standard features likely to be added for the next generation. ZDX is expected to come with a performance oriented 300 Hp engine for the year 2012.
