Hello all. I have been a long time lurker around this forum for the past 2+ years. Always admired the Z, but opted to purchase a Cadillac CTS Coupe instead. Well I finally decided to trade in the CTS and pulled the trigger on a 2013 Palladium Metallic Z. I absolutely LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone. One thing I'm just noticing is that Acura decided to remove the Acura badge from the back of the 2013 models, I wonder why.

Congrats on the pick up The reason for no Acura emblem is because they are following suit with all the rest of the luxury brands. Most to all luxury brands have an identity that most people can recognize. Plus with the upscale luxury brands all they need is their emblem to show off. Not saying Acura is at that status, but they have to start somewhere I suppose.

Congrat man. I always admire the sharp looking of CTS coupe as well, but since you traded it in for Z, I think I have made the right choice. Enjoy~

I think it has to do with cost.
they dropped the "ACURA" from the '13 TL as well.

Thanks man. That CTS Coupe was a bad ass car that would constantly get compliments, stares, thumbs up, and people walking up to me at gas stations asking questions; however, the 2012 coupes have torque coverter issues and I was having problems with the trunk on mine, damn thing wouldn't stay closed at times and would sometimes pop open by itself. Car sat at the Cadillac dealer for two days only for them to determine that it was a trunk latch malfunction, another common problem with the CTS coupe. I was so ready to get rid of that car. I am no stranger to Acura. Traded an 09 TL Sh-AWD Tech for the CTS. Biggest mistake I ever made. As far as the Z...I am so in love with this thing. Such an underrated vehicle.

the cts coupe has a 3.6 engine and weighs 3898lbs.

while the 3.7l engine is in the ZDX at 4424lbs

the cts would be a little more agile and pick up speed a little better.

I'm slowly adjusting, but everytime I'm having doubts about my decision I just think about Acura long term reliability and Cadillac's lack there of. Also, as far as technology, the ZDX wins. Don't mind sacrificing a little bit of speed for some awesome tech.

Very nice congrats and welcome! That silver looks real nice on the zdx. The lighter colors really bring out all the glass.

Thanks. Silver is nice, but that black is ! Only reason I didn't get black is because I once owned an 09 Accord V6 Coupe in black. Keeping that thing clean was a second part time job. Silver does a good job of not showing dirt easily. Honestly, I also like the ZDX in graphite luster metallic. But it's not available with a black interior which is a must for me.

I thought the 2012 Grigio had the black interior option?

Grigio was dropped for 2013 and replaced with graphite luster metallic which only comes with a graystone interior. Graphic luster with a black interior on the 2013 would've made more sense. Don't know what they were thinking.

Hmm, I know but Graphite and Grigio are so similar I can't see the difference.
Do you? Maybe you're saying you only wanted a new 2013 model.

I do see a slight difference. And you may be partially right, I am a little biased when it comes to the 2013 model. I like the new grille better and the interior wood trim, as well as the lane departure warning, forward collision warning, parking sensors, and the folding side mirrors.

GLM seems to be on the darker shade compared to Grigio. Seems more glittery too... I personally like the GLM better. With regards to the grille, as long as it's body color matched, i prefer the pre 2013.Its only fitting that a unique vehicle come with a unique grille.
