That Feeling When You See A Car Like Yours on the Highway

Random Thought: I rarely see other Z's in my area, but yesterday I spotted one on the opposite side of the highway and I must say the ZDX looks pretty bad ass while in motion. The one I saw was palladium metallic just like mine but had to be a 10, 11, or 12 based on the beak. I still believe we own of the best looking and most unique vehicles on the road.

I saw my twin(13 Black/Black) in a bank parking lot the other week...only difference is all his windows are tinted. We chatted briefly once we got over laughing about the rarity of meeting out in the wild. He even got his at the same dealership about a week before I got mine.

He loves his car too.

I spotted another 2013, from the same dealership I bought mine too. The owner came out of the store as I was pulling out:

I said, "Nice car!"
Mid-50s lady responds, "...Thanks."
Me, "...we have the same car, but mine's black."
Her, "Huh?"
Me, "We have the same car."
Her, "Oh? Oh, so we do."
Me, "Well, have a nice day."

I've seen about 5-6 others around the Seattle area, even one with the vanity plate "MR ZDX". I waved at him, he looked at me really confused.

I have yet to run into a ZDX owner that has given me a wave, a nod, or any sort of acknowledgement that we drive the same unique vehicle.

markwon I know how you feel, I was waving at a lady in a ZDX when I had mine and she looked like a deer in the headlights.

I spotted one in the high country for the first time in over a year. It was white, I did a double take. Such a different car then the norm. My next ZDX will be white...maybe black!

You're absolutely right, the color radically changes the look of the vehicle. I saw one in silver last week... I'm really digging the lighter colors on the car.

I have seen one on the road in my area. And know where another is located. One is black. Base. Other is silver. Maybe tech package. I am the only white and only high end advance model. I'm such a nerd that if I run into one of the other drivers I'll probably geek out and start asking questions haha. Funny tho how many people stop to stare point ask questions and I mean flat out just stare me down when I drive bye or someone walks by. It's hillarious to watch all these old nosey suburban neighbors of mine stop and stare and point and shake their heads hahahaha.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Ain't that the truth. Sometimes having an elegant or dare I say pretty car can be better than having a beast of a car when you think about who will be wanting you to take them for rides in it.

No to belittle your thread about your Z but I feel a similar feeling with my ILX. The Z is unique due to its body lines where as the ILX just because they haven't caught on. Guys see them as under powered dressed up civics. Chicks LOVE them. I have had two of my more snob girl friends tell me how lucky I am to have been able to purchase an ILX and how bad they want one. Sadly, these aren't the girls I want to impress nor how I want to impress them. But I can't help but feel good when snobs are jealous you know?

despite the fact that Z's were never officially sold in Russia, the number of them in Moscow is slightly increasing 80% of their owners wave or flash to each other

That is so funny... I wave too. Three times total. One was from MA on the highway, black too. He was the only one to acknowledge with a nod. That dude had more swagger than me though.

I never liked Silver cars (always felt they were too bland) and have always picked the darker shades of gray. My ideal choice for my Z would've been Grigio Metallic (but wasn't available in the 2013). I do like Graphite Luster Metallic on the Z, however I opted out because it wasn't available with the Ebony interior. Saw a Palladium Metallic Z parked at the dealer and fell in love with it. The way the glass roof stood out was just stunning.

I drove out to a golf course out in the suburbs of Chicago and while looking for a parking spot, I noticed a white ZDX parked in the lot. I drove by it and ended up parking pretty far away. As I was unloading my clubs, that ZDX made a point of rolling by with the window down and I heard an older ladies voice say, "Nice car!". I actually did a double take cause the voice threw me for a loop. But I finally stammered "You too!", before she drove off.

There also just happens to be a ZDX owner who owns a restaurant about 4-blocks away from me. It's always out front, but I haven't gotten a chance to chat with the owner. One day though...

I never see TSX wagon here in LA, however I see two ZDX regularly.

1) White ZDX-bone stock. Elderly white man (60s) drives it around San Fernando Valley

2) Black ZDX, blacked out grille, all black OEM wheels, blacked out window tint. All badges blacked out. I see this in Valenica, CA all the time

I love how the ZDX look, basically a realible X6 to me.
