Enel X-Way issues
Enel X-Way issues
I opted for the L2 home charger when I got my ZDX. It is the Acura-branded Enel X-Way unit, which is a company that then went out of business. I only use it as a dumb charger, so that is not a big issue for me. However, my charging history has not been updated since March 21. And the app currently thinks my car is plugged in (my car is 5 miles from home right now). Sigh.
Annoying that Acura chose a vendor that was, as we now know, on its financial last legs. But as long as I can continue to use it as a dumb charger..

Bill, I had been thinking about posting about this issue. Got an email in January from a company called Voltie indicating they were taking over to some degree, with a link that led to a page that was basically a shell. Checked it every month or so, was able to eventually create a user presence, then a week or so ago found their Android app. Funny, but the password I used on the web would not work on the app because of a special character. Changed the password on the web, still can't get in on the app. Very, very frustrating! My L2 charger works just fine, but the app no longer tracks the charge, or as you said, it's a dumb charger. My electric provider offers a small annual rebate if I let them "control" my device during peak times, but they don't recognize the brand, as one might expect, and I'm sure they can't communicate with it any better than I can. I'm hoping for a somewhat better user experience sometime in the future, and I do bring it up every time I visit the dealer.

Extend the lifespan of your Juicebox v2 by replacing its electronics with the OpenEVSE controller with WiFi. This board is easily installed with basic tools and connects to existing connectors. The OpenEVSE firmware, which supports HTTP, MQTT, and OCPP 1.6J, is completely open-source and can be integrated with various Energy Monitoring and Automation Systems, such as Home Assistant. Additionally, the charging station operates on stock OpenEVSE firmware and is compatible with a variety of standard protocols, giving new life to your station without the dependency on a proprietary cloud network.
