Buying Service Packages

So our dealer tried to sell us all kinds of packages about covering interior if you spill coffee, if you have a small tear in the seat, scratching your rims, zap etc on paint, tires, etc. We declined all of them. But I do wonder about a couple of items. The tires on the ZDX Type S look expensive. And they are summer tires. And with 499hp (I have a bit of a lead foot at red lights) they will probably gone quickly. Also, we have scratched up our rims on our Infiniti quite a bit. Mostly my wife but I am guilty of it, too. So do any of those packages make any sense in your opinion? Or normal tear on tires isn't covered? And scratched rims can be repaired somewhere cheaper than what those packages cost?

I lease my Acura's and have usually purchased the tire and wheel package but always ask for a better price as it's negotiable. The value I have gotten has varied based on flats or wheel damage - obviously. Like any insurance, it's a bet. Buy it and you're betting that you'll need it. Don't buy it and you're betting that you won't need it. Good luck with your choice!
