Talking Beakless ZDX

Doing a bit of investing... Andy (gerzand) and I took the bumper off the ZDX

Quite easy bumper removal. Headlights come out with two bolts.

Exahust and other findings.

First things the OEM intake is very open. One of the most strait forward and free flowing I've ever seen from Honda. you can litterly reach through the intake opening and touch the filter. Naturally, there are two small baffels we removed for the videos posted above.

Here's a good shot of where the OEM intake draws air in from... just under the driver-side headlight. There's a protective plastic cover that's meant to keep water / other debris from dropping down in.

Next we'll take a look at the exahust. At the rear of the vehical there are two small mufflers.

Moving further up make note of the two large resonators.

I believe this would be the MM

And the j-pipe after the 3rd cat...

Keeping with information going, here is a breakdown of the ZDX's headlights - which mind you are stunning. From the real aluminum accent to the fully blacked out housing. The fact that they are bi- xenon are another bonus.

Sooooo on with the pictures.

First Acura used the Phillips 85122 bulb

Sorry for the low Q pictures.. but my intent was to get as much detail of the headlight housing as possible, without any flash (or ambient light glare).

Very interesting pattern on the outer edge of the lens.

Ballast and other goodies

Lastly, not only is this sealed with the normal gasket - it's screwed together! I didn't take pictures of all the torx screws... but I think there were 8 per headlight housing.
