Aftermarket 08-13 MDX Running Boards on ZDX as an alternative to stock boards?
Hi all! New to the forum, and am still currently on the search for a CBP with Ebony or Umber interior and having a difficult time finding one with LED sport running boards installed. Even ordered the boards on eBay but was told that they were no longer stocked. Frustrating. With that said, has anyone installed aftermarket boards on their ZDX? I found the following on a site online and it looks like they installed aftermarket MDX (08-13) running boards on their ZDX and it does not look too too bad. Thoughts?

I purchased a 2010 black thinking surely I will find running boards on eBay etc. but could not anywhere at all !!! so I purchased another black ZDX advance light color interior this time , less miles with the running boards and then sold the other zdx. If I would have known the MDX ones fit ours I would have done it. They look good in your pic.
Overall the running boards increases the looks on these plus they light up which really looks good. I only had my 2nd one a year but I can’t see selling it for awhile because with the running board and wheels like the chrome ones in your pic I just love mines and the shape was ahead of its time. Good luck finding one!

I'm actually not a fan of the running boards (my Advance doesn't have them), but I understand people do like them. Of the pics provided, the Cherry ZDX looks way more integrated into the design than the black ZDX example. If the black ZDX has the aftermarket boards, I would recommend steering clear...they look obviously aftermarket and no offense to anyone, but a bit cheesy (IMO).
You nailed it, Type34. The running boards on that dark cherry one are the ones designed for the ZDX; the ones on the black one are apparently intended for the MDX. And I agree with your assessment of their looks as well.
