Best place to sell a 2006 6mt w/Aspec wheels and suspension TL in lower mainland?

It might be the time of the year...but craigslist ain't getting the job done. My car is super low KMS (49,000) and asking price is competative. I just seem to be getting harassed by companies trying to sell it for a price. Any suggestions?

Stick with CL. Your asking price is definitely competitive but 6MT will be harder to sell.

For reference, a 2005 TL with dynamic option, navi, aspec lip kit and wheels and 66000 km SOLD for 21900 a while back. You can definitely sell yours around your asking price.

I am asking $22,488 here is the cl ad: http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rd...125484163.html

I need to take a few better pictures to show off the car- the Aspec wheels in the sparkle silver look great againt the silver paint.

thanks- that helps.

Less drivers are willing to tame a stick these days - after the transmission recall for the 2nd to 3rd grind, the manual made it more fun to drive.

NP, btw maybe you should consider parting out the aspec rims. Those goes for around $1500 (given that they are in mint condition) which the average guy on CL probably knows nothing about. If you switch those rims to stock ones and sell those rims maybe you can lower your asking price by a good $1000 making it more attractive.

Sadly I was suppose to be the owner of the above 2005 TL except when I walked in the day with cheque in hand, the dealer told me they sold it. We even agreed that they will hold the car for me and no need for a deposit since I was coming in the day after with the full amount. Verbal agreements mean shit nowadays even coming from the CEO of a company lmfaoz.

GLWS, maybe you'll have better luck once spring comes.

Edit: You should also try posting it on RS, a lot more car enthusiast on there than the ones browsing on CL. (I assume)

RS? what is that??
I'll try vancouver sun also

It would be tough to part out the A-spec rims now. I sold the orginal rims with snows tires last night to a local TL'er. He was in desperate need after getting stuck on one of the local ski hills with his summer tires. It took me a long time to find the a-spec rims - I really hope that the person who eventually buys the car can appreciate them

RS = Revscene, it's a group of Vancouver's car enthusiasts.
Your TL will definitely be attractive on there. The only other 2006 TL for sale on there right now has 90,000 kms, navi, 6mt, but no Aspec rims and is going for 19500 obo.

NP, if the previous owner of my TL didn't curbed my stock rims so much, I would've definitely wanted to trade rims with you + cash on my side. The A-spec rims are hot, I hope the next owner treasure them.

GLWS - awesome looking car

Thanks. I still think the TL has some of the best lines of any car.

I'm selling because I bought a new car. I had been looking for something "newer" for a little while. I came across an ad for 2011 BMW 528i on CL with only 450 kms with sport/navi/premium for a sig. discount to new msrp. I didn't think it would be anything more than a test drive. The 528 had less HP than I was looking for and it was RWD. Then I drove it...I was really impressed by the car- it was smooth, had plenty of power and it was drop dead gorgeous.

I'll miss the TL but the replacement is pretty nice also.

The price for the TL is a hard thing to gauge. I'd like to sell it for more- I think it is worth more than the ask price. BUT as we all know; the market dictates the price and I am dealing in a select market with the 6MT. I am not rushing to sell it - if it takes a month+- then so be it. There have been some calls via the craigslist ad, and some interest via the various BB's. Not many people buy cars over the Xmas holidays...well, except me

wowz nice! the new 5 series are sick, that's definitely an upgrade! At least they re-styled the interior to be more modern. Yeah, your asking price is definitely low but like u said, you prob will want to get rid of the car since you have no use for it anymore. I hope you don't have to resort to lowering your price. It's already a steal right now with all the options that you have on your car. Seriously good luck with sale it's such a steal. How much are dealerships giving you?

P.S. It's said to see that no one on RS has commented or is interested in your car while the other TL with less options than yours and at close to 100k kms is selling for 19,888 with a lotta people saying it's a good price. Also, any interest in trading your shoes for my stockies with Michelin Sport 80% tread + cash on top? The more I look at the aspec wheels, the more I want them!

Adding the aspec wheels was a big thing. It's nice to have something different than the crowd plus I noticed a sharper steering response and no erosion of ltr/100km, (the wheels are pretty light for 18"s.)

I'll keep you in mind for a-spec wheel swap if the car dosen't sell. For now I hope the look of the wheels may help find a buyer. An even easier idea- you could sell your TL and buy mine...and you would have your favorite wheels

The car came with 17" stockies

The initial car I looked at which was the 2005 one I mentioned above had aspec rims, but dont' even get me started on that.

hey Mangoman, you didn't post up any pics of your wheels. Hard to consider a trade without knowing the condition. I may part out the wheels and Aspec suspension (i have original springs and shocks stored)

Ahh that's right. It's hard for me to take pictures of my wheel right now though since they're hella dirty from being through a week of rain/snow. I'll try to take some pictures and post them here over the weekend

Here are pictures of the two rims with severe curb rashes. Crappy cell phone pics, but I think these rims are bad enough to have nobody wanting them. What a great driver the previous owner must've been.

Too bad about the rash. You can get Panther to refinish them. I've heard great things about their work- or buy refinished wheels at www.newwheel.com.

I'm going to raise the price back up again. I can be patient. I was looking at auto trader and they had cars listed with similar km's for $25K+.

Thanks.

Nice~~ Good luck with sale, car is mint and cheap enough as is.

Edit: Ya, sucks that my wheels are like that. Not going to refinish them though since I already bougth new shoes for my TL. Just waiting for the tires to go bald before changing them. Got some 18"s =DDDDD but still wanted to see if you were up for trade + cash on my end but after re-examining them again today, they look too horrible to have anyone wanting to take them off my hands. lol. Wow the site u showed me have aspec wheels giong for $180 a piece
