I'm just gauging how much interest we could have arranging an Alberta meet in Red Deer for the summer.

I've always wanted to do this and now it seems we might have enough Alberta members on the forums.

I would be down for a meet at Sylvan Lake. I always go there to VW meets and its always good.

I do love a good roadtrip.

But I've got classes finishing up at the end of July so that means finals, and there's work of course too. I'd like to say yes, but I couldn't realistically commit to anything.

 

It'll have to depend on the date for me...gettin' hitched this summer and am the best man for another...so, busy overall but is doable if the right day is agreed on.

I think if we can get a minimum of 10 cars it will be worth doing (5 Calgary + 5 Edmonton). If it looks like were going to have a poor turnout we can postpone it until August. But one way or another I think this would be a fun thing to do this summer!

I will be available after beginning of August when we move to Calgary.

 

If you come up with a place/time I should be able to make it out with the tsx but she's going under the knife in a month or so. Hopefully it works out and weather permits!

 

I would be in, but got a wedding in Winnipeg on the 19th, the 1st few weeks of july work the best.

July 12th, 19th, or 26th - they're all Saturdays. Ideally it would be fun to do one in July as well as a meet in August.

 

Just wanted to say hello to all my fellow Acura owners. I am very happy to say I will be bringing a ( pardon the pun) Legend to our fair province. I recently purchased "Touge's" 2006 RL featured here on this site. I'd love to bring it out and share it with anyone interested in seeing her. Will be on Canadian soil in August.

My dad drives a 2005 white RL too and my older brother a 2008 TL type-s, 3 Acura's in our household . Are you in Calgary?

 

Well first week of August Touge's RL should be in Edmonton. I'm getting excited to be the owner. By the way, anyone want to buy a 1988 CRX Si? In kijiji.

 

Any word on getting this together? I'd be in for a meet as long as it's falls before or after my upcoming engine swap (not that I know when I'll end up doing that).

I can probably round up a couple of Legend guys to join in, we were going to do a meet in Calgary last weekend but we never nailed down any specifics.

Nice. Have you checked out acuralegend.org at all? It's pretty G1 and G2 Legend oriented, but we've got much love for RLs as well

I'm going to suggest the weekend of the 15th, shouldn't interfere with any August long weekend plans and hopefully is far enough away to avoid other minor commitments.

I'll try to get some of the Calgary legend/RL guys I know going too.

 

i work most weekends and i recently got injured playing hockey. so i dont know if i can get time off work. but if anything changes i will def. show up. i really want to see ABboy's RL and meet everyone.

 

If more members don't post that they're coming or not we should cancel. I don't want to drive to Red Deer for a meet with 2 cars... hehe (no offense sap)

maybe we should start off seperate. a meet for edmonton and a meet for calgary. then we can go around and talk about an all alberta meet. might be a little more easy to organise.

 

Agreed. I would definitely like to have a local meet before the end of August but it's tough to organize/participate with my server schedule (weekends are my biggest work times).

 

We've been having AcuraZine meets in Calgary for 3 years now... when I started. At least two or three each year. You Edmontonians... so much to catch up on.

Completely agreed on canceling if more people aren't going to show. My car's not in the greatest shape for a meet anyway, blown head gasket and mismatched wheels after putting a hole in one of my tires.

I couldn't realistically commit to anything these days, sorry guys. I've got 1 month off before classes start again in Sept, weekends are always filled with work, summer errands, or time with family and friends. All the things that get neglected while I'm in school.

If something was worked out I could try to come, just can't say for sure.

Hmmmm Stratotech? Only 10min drive. It would be kinda funny seeing a RL trying a lap or two on that circuit.

 

well, at the beginning people thought it ws pretty funny seeing a automatic tl on the track. well i ended up 1st in street class at the last time attack. i beat a FD Rx7 for the win. so it dont matter what you drive there, its how you drive it!!!
