There is the "real" Zymol waxes which cost upward of $60 to $100 per jar and color specific or the "OTC" Zymol bought from a store which could be a pure Carnauba (round upright bottle) or a Cleaner wax (short oval bottle) that is around $15-20.
Zymol smells neat, somewhat like coconuts and bananas, but I find it does not last any longer than other waxes. Another neat thing I found with Zymol is spritzing with just ordinary water seem to pep up the shine (like using a QD).

$170 seems reasonable. Did he do the whole routine like dress up the tires/ vinyl leather and clean the glass or did he just wax?

The Zymol that can be bought at Target or Walmart for $10 or so is actually just a rebadged version of a Turtle Wax product. It doesn't last any longer (or look any better) than Meguairs Gold Class, NXT, or anything by Mothers'.

Have to apologize to other posters in this thread. I attempted to give some positive reps last night, and I apparently hit the wrong button. Sorry about that!

They're usually good for door jambs and the inner lip of the trunk/hood and the lower body moulding (running board??). At least that is where I use my leftover C/W.

I've used the cheap Zymol and have had good results for the price and effort given. I've used it on all my vehicles as well as my BMW R1150R motorcycle.

BUT I've always been tempted to add some rum and put it in the blender with some ice.
