Question Zip Wax and NXT Spray Wax

I'm a little embarrassed that I don't know the answer to this question, but I'm sure someone else on here does. I've been washing my car with Zip Wax and have found that over time a protective layer has formed. I have some Meguiar's NXT Spray Wax that I would like to use, but my concern is that the "light cleaners" in the NXT will effectively remove the wax that has accumulated. Does this make sense? Does Meguiar's NXT Spray Wax layer or will it strip? Thanks in advance for any help...

Although I'm not a fan of wash n wax products, I would suggest getting a spray wax/QD without any cleaners to prevent removal of previous wax applications. DG Aqua Wax, OCW, or UPPS IMO, has better durability, longevity and shine over NXT. AW is available OTC and all are available through online detail sites.

Thanks for your help. I will look into those products and hold off on using the NXT Spray Wax...
