Zaino users -- question!
I drive a black TL and had my friend detail it this past weekend.
He used Z-PC, Z-5 PRO and Z-2 PRO (not sure about the order of the last 2).
Anyway, if I wanted to apply more wax this coming weekend, can I just hand wash it and wax?
Thanks

^ Sorry I'm not familiar with all that stuff and I don't have access to those products anymore, since it was done at my friends house.
I should've been more specific:
Can I wax my car by hand with a liquid wax using a foam pad applicator AFTER a hand wash? This would be done in my apartment parking lot when its not too sunny out.

JM, you could use more Z-2 on it because that's what your friend has freshly applied. You could get more from him. You can still wash it too, but it's probably a good idea to continue on with the Zaino-since it was just applied to your car.

OK I'm on the Zaino website and since it doesn't seem like any of the products I'm looking at require a PC, I'm going to pick some up.
So far, I have Z-2 on my list. Do I need Z-6?
I'm planning on applying 2 more coats most probably.
Does this make sense? This weekend: hand wash, Z-2, Z-6. Next weekend: repeat
Can you apply Z-2 with a foam pad? Can you apply Z-6 with a MF towel?

Personally, I'd just get Z-5 (and Z-6), especially since you have black. In my experience, Z-5 tends to look better on dark colors and it some filling capabilities (although that's arguable).

Yes they do! Plus, they ship from Kansas City, so since you're in Chicago, you'll probably get your order in a day or so.
As far as your questions go, the Z-5 is what you can layer on the car. The Z-6 is a "wet gloss" enhancer. I use it in between applications of Z-5. Plus, I use it when I want to do a quick shine-without going through the entire polish and wax process. You do not need both the Z-2 and the Z-5....just get the Z-5. They are interchangable.
I've also had good success with the Z-8 Grand Finale. It's just like the Z-6 "gloss enhancer", but for that wet car show look, you could try that too. I have a silver metallic car, so on your car, it would probably do an even better job.

Depends on what the conditions and roads are like .. I can drive 4 blocks from town right now and the back of the car is filthy... moreso if you don't dry it after the car wash.

I've asked this question a couple times but no response thus far.
After washing and drying a car, can I go straight to to Z-PC or do I have to strip the existing wax first? Zaino says Z-PC will do that on its own.
Also, if I was to clay, should I do right after drying correct?

The Old Grey Whistle Test
Vehicle leather upholstery is made from natural hides, chrome tanned and uniquely treated with a light pigmented water-based polyurethane coating or a vinyl covering to make it more viable for automotive seating. It retains the softness of natural top-grain leather but resists fading in direct sunlight, which besides body oil / salt, is leathers worst enemy. While leather that is vinyl-coated is relatively easy to care for by virtue of its protective plastic surface, it is also inaccessible for purposes of maintenance.
Reminder; you are dealing with the finished surface coating and not with the leather itself. Meaning, of course, there is absolutely no point to using leather conditioners on plastic coated leather.
You can test wither or not it’s a protected leather; by slightly scratching it with your nail, if it changes to a darker / lighter shade, it is unprotected (i.e. how suede changes colour depending on the fibres' orientation). If this has little effect it’s protected. If water ‘beads’ on the surface, then it is probably covered leather. If it soaks in, then it is probably finished leather.
