zaino on top of another polymer sealant?
zaino on top of another polymer sealant?
is it possible to put zaino on top of another polymer sealant like blackfire klass etc etc...
i am thinking about having one of these detailers come and polish my paint really well with a pc, nad then i figured i might as well also let them put a coat of polymer on it... but i am gonna wanna put more on top of it, and i use zaino..
so would it be possible to put one sealant upon another...
maybe the detailer would use my zaino and charge a lil less?

Why not have him put Zaino on the paint after it's been polished. According to the "Zaino Rules", you're suppose to have the bare paint so that it will bond properly. I've broken those rules in the past with both oily and non-oily cleaners in the past and haven't really seen a difference.
So depending on what final polish is used, maybe he'll do an alcohol wipe down or wash. Ideally, this is the path to follow to do it properly. If it's not done and an oily polish was used, the Zaino may not last as long. FWIW, I did Klasse AIO and Zaino on my car last October and that combo held well throughout the winter. Just tried to wash it as frequently as possible. By springtime, I noticed the paint was lacking something and it was time to reapply.
I haven't done Zaino on top of other sealants, but I wouldn't bother. Zaino alone or a different sealant will be fine.

right..
i was just wondering... if the guy doesnt wanna use zaino and insists on using his own products (whatever sealant that might be) i am probably going to want to put more coats on top of that... and considering i already have zaino i would like to put zaino on top of it... i want to try to get like 10 coats of sealant on there... and then im gonna do a coat of carnuba wax on top... not just for protection,, jsut cuz it will look soo damn good
so you put klass and zaino on top of eachother?

Well, if he's going to use his sealant, then I wouldn't try to put Zaino on top of that. Chances are it won't bond to well.
I've put Klasse AIO and then Zaino as the sealant. AIO cleans and leaves an acrylic base which seems to work as a good foundation for Zaino. A lot of people were trying it last year and seemed to have good results, so I jumped on board with that combo. Keep in mind Klasse AIO and SG are different products. I would not put Zaino on top of SG or vice versa.
10 coats of whatever sealant would be a waste of time IMO. I usually stop after 2-3. More than that and I don't see any visual improvement or protection value. Of course, everyone will have their
I'm guessing you're gearing up for the fall/winter since you're in NJ, but 2-3 should be fine. If anything, it's important that you try to wash or have it washed as frequently as possible during the winter. That will help keep the life of the Zaino or other sealant up.
If you do want to continue layering the sealant, I'd use whatever sealant he uses (if it's not the Zaino). And then do carnuba.
