Zaino Question
Am I doing something wrong with the Zaino
?
The Z5 is not coming off easily at all...it's taking a ton of elbow grease and effort to get it off. I started from scratch with a Dawn car wash, clay bar, Zaino wash, then Z5 (with the ZXF additive). The truck (I'm trying my Pathfinder first before the TSX
) is in a heated garage (about 72 as I type) and I left the first coat of Z5 on for about 6 hours. It had hazed and sure seemed ready to come off, but it was a bear!
TIA!

No. I had the same problem. Change the rag/material you are using to remove the polish often, and hopefully everything will come out. I found that the pink stuff (can't recall the name tag on it) is easier to remove than the blue stuff. I have 2 coats of the blue stuff on my TSX and it looks very spiffy. I have one coat of the pink stuff on a GTI and A6, and they look great, too.
I've used both Z-2 and Z-5 Zaino with the ZFX additive, and do not experience any problems with removal unless I've put it on too thick. 1 ounce gives me 3 full coats on my TSX, all very thin. I remove it with a soft microfiber terry towel.
For me, Z5/Z2+ZFX hazes over in 15 -20 minutes or so with either of them around 70 deg. F, although I believe the humidity is also a factor in the drying time. Z2 (pink) is easier than Z5 inmy experience. I've never tried waiting 6 hours; I get all 3 coats on in 3 hours.
I understand Sal Zaino answers most emails personally, so you might try that for an authoritative answer.
Good luck - Z looks great and lasts a long time (6 months and more).

Well, I'll know for the next time that I do it....off to take off that last coat. I'm going to try microfiber towels since some folks on the G35 boards swear by it...
