Dennis-

Any Zaino distributers in northern Massachusetts or southern New Hampshire? I have only had my black CL-S for less than a month so I haven't needed to wax it yet. The dealership said they used Zaino before delivery. I'd like to stick with it if I can get some locally.

I have yet to find a dealership that would take the time to apply Zaino. In fact, it's extremely doubtful they know the type of wax that Zaino is. They may have said Zymol.

There is a really easy way to tell. Dunk your finger in some dishwashing soap and rub it on an inconspicuous spot on your car. Wash it off and then spray a mist of water on the area. If it still beads up, it's probably Zaino, or another polymer. If it sheets, you got just the run of the mill carnauba. Not that that's bad.

Meguiar's Gold Class was notorious for beading on my CLS back when i first got it...man, would it bead!!! Zaino beading is not as much, but it still does quite a bit

Yeah but not after dissolving it with the DW liquid.

Zymol....maybe you are right. Thought they said Zaino but perhaps I just had Zaino on the brain or something. Or perhaps the salesman misunderstood what the detailers had used. It looked sweet when I got it and that is what counted at that point!!!

My question still stands though...any Zaino dealers in northern MA or southern NH? If I could order it directly online that would be okay but the Zaino site makes it look like I have to print out the order form and mail it.

Ecklers.com

they charge about $1 more per bottle, but at least u can buy, pay, and get it online instead of mail order and waiting

i understand that Zaino will soon b taking credit card orders over the phone

Thanks for the help. I'll try either Ecklers or Dallas Mustang. Penn and Maryland are about 400 miles away so unless I have another reason to be there I doubt that I'll be stopping by for car wax!!!

Last question...can you use Zaino for hand waxing or is it only recommended for rotary buffers?

Ug...it's snowing here today. :P

Thanks again!

If you e-mail Sal Zaino sal@zainobros.com he can tell you if there's a local guy. I think there is, but then I'm 3,000 miles away.

It's preferred to put on the Zaino and take it off by hand -- easy on, easy off, really. Using a rotary or an orbital, the pads soak up too much product, too much waste.

I'd prefer to put it on by hand. Thanks for the info. Now if the weather would clear up I could wash and wax my car for the first time!

Great product! I used it for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I can't believe the results. Did it by hand. Just follow the directions and use very, very sparingly. After two washes and using Z-6, it even gets better

when i had my car detailed, i urged them to use Zaino instead of their stuff...they were quite surprised with the results...they managed to get 5 coats on using a machine (guess the paint was real thirsty )...machine is good for keeping the coats nice and thin, but if u can "convince" yerself to put on thin coats, yer all set...many people have a hard time keeping the coats thin...it may take some time, but u'll get it
