White residue on Black Plastic

Is there anything that will restore the black color to black plastic trim on the exterior of the car is has turned white because some wax got on it? I thought it was mentioned before but I can't find what the product was called.

I know you guys have mentioned the 303Aerospace protectant to be used on rubber and weatherstripping, but can that stuff be used on black plastic too? Does it take off the old wax that has turned it black and restore the color?

Warm soap and some Dawn will strip it off very nicely. And it's very mild so it won't dry it out.

Wait a minute, you sure it's wax. It says in your sig you use Zaino. Zaino doesn't cause that symptom. May want to buy something like Back to Black to rejuvinate the plastic. Sounds like it's drying out.

It's not for my car...mine is nice and smooth and no discoloration...it's for my friend's Pathfinder. He used Meguiar's Gold Class Wax and accidently got some on the plastic handles and whatever and now it's white...this was probably a year ago.

So the two products so far are Back to Black and Forever Black...do they sell those at local auto parts stores like Pep Boys or Checkers or AutoZone?

forever black works the best. its a dye so dont get it on the paint. if you want a safer route, dawn it to get the wax off then there are many different plastic cleaners that are for black plastic. some that come to mine are armour all, meguires and turtle wax.
