Wheel Refinish?

My 97 2.2CL is perfect except for one small detail. The wheels (stock 16" non-premiums) are dull. It almost look like the previous owner sprayed Windex on them. Are there any good wheel polishes that might be able to bring back the shine. I'm not so sure that the clearcoat hasn't been taken off. What can I do? HELP!

I'm not sure if a polish would restore them, but if the clearcoat has [partially] worn off then you may want to check into getting them re-finished. On my Accord I had previously, the wheels were pretty bad, peeling and everything. Looked pretty horrible. Had them re-finished/clearcoated and they looked awesome! Had that car for another 2-3 years and then sold it, the wheels still in near-perfect condition. But it's not cheap--I paid about $600 Canadian (about $375US) but that included straightening my rims, etc. Damn curbs. Thankfully Honda wrote me a cheque for about 1/4th of that, so it wasn't as bad as it sounds. You may want to consider aftermarket wheels if you're already spending a good deal of money in that case. Depends how bad your stocks look!
