What to use??

I have custom red leather upholstery in the car, with portions of the rear seats in vinyl. While doing some of the installations in the car, some of the gum from the dynamat got onto the seat. What is the best/safest way to get rid of this stuff. (I tried goo gone in a inconspicuous spot, and it left a spot...not discolored, but looked different from the rest of the seat).

blow dry it and pick it off or use peanut butter.

Alternative to peanut butter is just butter. The normal kind that is hard from the fridge and doesn't melt easily. Less ants in your car this way.

Of course, try the ice first.

natural degreaser mixed 10:1

(like a degreaser made strictly from orange oils...that stuff works great...)
