What product BRAND do you use?
I'm getting ready to take my detailing abilities to the next level and am going to buy a buffer. This is gonna be a whole new world to me in what products I might use. Just seeing what other specific brand products other members are using. Right now this is what I was doing by hand:
Wash-Meguiars Gold Class
Clay- Mothers Clay Bar
Four Star Pre Wax Cleaner System with black pad
Four Star UPP with red pad
use Four Star Ultimate Scratch and Swirl remover for deeper swirls/scratches
Again, trying to get an idea of what I'm going to purchase next for products to use with my new buffer. Are there certain combination of brands that work better?

basically, your questions have been answered a million times over. you need to take some time to read the other post...
We'll get done answering questions....and then a couple days later the same question appears. it gets pretty tiring answering the same ones over and over again.
I just started detailing and what I found is that there is not just one way to do something...
read these post, buy some products and test. you'll quickly pick up on what you need to improve or if a certain product isnt working well.

Thanks for the reply and the threads. Yeah, I know a lot of questions get asked many times over. I just wanted to hear opinions on certain products before I buy them. I would hate to spend over $50-$75 on products and not liking them. I don't want to waste my money.

Yeah. Thanks again for the links. After reading the threads I'm not worried about the car wash or clay bar (obviously) but the polish and the sealant. I might go with the Optimum Polish II since my MDX has only minor 'spider webs' in only a few places on the car. Don't know about the sealant yet. I've been using the Four Star UPP and love it but not sure if there is something better out there.

You know, I still have about a half bottle of Four Star Pre Wax Cleaner and a whole bottle of the Four Star Ultimate Scratch and Swirl remover. Should I just stick with these or is the Optimum Polish better?
Not sure on pads. After reading, I guess maybe orange, white and red?
Oh, I'm going to go with the Porter 7424XP.

I'm still a beginner. I havent used the four starr products.
ive just heard the sealant was awesome.
and like i said...experiment with different things and you learn what works best for you. Some cars have different kinds of paint, what works on one car might not work on the other.
what kind of polishing machine did you get?

see you really didnt need to start a brand new thread! you already know most everything already!
and sorry, didnt see your previous post that you answered the PC7424XP.
orage pads - are a medium aggressive.
white pads - are less aggressive than orange.
I detailed my first car two weeks ago. a black nissan frontier.
i used the optimum polish II with an orange pad for the first pass, the used the same polish with a white pad for the 2nd and final pass.
the truck came out beautiful.
