Wet Sanding - Too Late?
Hope this is OK here; seemed like the best forum for the question.
Related to my earlier question on waxing fresh painted parts. I painted my engine cover with Duplicolor materials. Adhesion Promoter ("Ideal for Plastics"), Color Coat, Clear Coat.
The Clear Coat instructions were to apply over the Color Coat within 1 hour or after 7 days.
I noticed the Color Coat was a little rough (maybe partly from the surface texture of the Engine Cover) and then after Clear Coat, the surface has a little dust.
My question is, after Color and Clear going down, can I Wet Sand and then re-apply Color and Clear Coats? Or is it too late now?
TIA.

Great thanks. I've got the clear on already.
So, Wet Sand, then re-apply another coat of Clear? Is that what you mean? Or, just Wet Sand the Clear and leave it be.

The Old Grey Whistle Test
If you have no orange peel (paint looks like orange skin) wet-sand until level. If you have OP wet-sand until removed and re-apply clear (apply thin coat and allow to dry, thick coats tend to produce an OP finish)

Thanks.
No Orange Peel.
Just a little surface roughness and a little lint/dust.
