Weathered Paint
Hi Guys.... You guys seem to have every answer to all questiosn i swear. Well here is my question, my GF has a weathered 2001 honda accord. We got trees and stuff in our neighborhood and living in SF CA it drizzles all the time. My TL is starting to get that way and I wash both cars every 2 weeks or so. Anything that can help in this situation? Don't tell me claybar cause that is just plain junk..... and no I didn't try it on my baby yet. LOL and I am talking about my TL not my GF .....

Nu Finish is an ancient product, there's much better products out there, save your money.
I got these out of a friends JunkYard last thrusday. They went on display at a show I was at last weekend.
The blue one is an old blazer and the red one was a ford laser.

Any type of quality polish or swirl remover will remove all of the water oxidation and tree sap from your GF's car. I recomend the new Platinum Series polish from Turtle Wax, it's really good stuff. Any polish from Mother's or Meguires is also great to use. If you have experience with an orbital buffer I recommend using it because it sounds like there is a fair amount of oxidatation on the car. If you're not comfortabel with a buffer, a hand applicator pad will work just fine too. IMO, clay bars are very effective if you know how to use them correctly.
