I haven't tried it yet, but I have been told that a pencil's pink eraser is great for removing the wax from the rubber. Some people actually tape up parts of the car (I sure don't)

The Zaino will not cause this problem. I still use regular wax *and* 3M Hand Glaze on my wife's car, so I will be trying the pink eraser from some #2 pencils I bought.

There is also a number of rubber cleaners (Like Wurth Rubber Care/Cleaner that will treat *and* may remove the wax) I know it does a great job at protecting.

You can remove the wax from the "cracks" and around metal trim with a very soft brush. Some people use soft tooth brushes, but they can scratch the paint. Check out Car Care Products or other auto detail suppliers for more info. They sell boar hair brushes that will not scratch your car!

P.S. -- I tried to find the link to the pencil eraser article, but couldn't find it right now.

There are a bunch of detail links around.

As Eric stated you won't encounter this problem with Zaino. I'd use a soft tooth brush.

I use Maguiers and this does not leave a white residue on my black car either.

But if you got it use soft toothbrush, cotton swaps or a steel brush, although that might scratch.
