Wash help - can I do this?

Hello,

I recently moved into an apartment, and therefore, I don't really have access to a hose. So, I was just wondering if I could take my bucket, wash mitts, soap, and head down to the local coin op. I would then drive back home (about 2 miles), and wax my car using my PC. Is this a really bad idea? I guess my question is, will my car accumulate too much dust, road debris, etc to wax it by the time I get home?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

P.s. I was thinking about ordering the NO rinse wash stuff, but for the time being, I didn't know if this would be feasible.

As close as it is, I'd still feel unconfortable driving it home and then polishing with a PC. I would wash your car at the coin place, drive it home immediately without drying and then as soon as you get back fill up a bucket (or a few) and rinse the car off so that any road debris are rinsed off.

You need Optimum NRWS...........Best thing next to chocolate cake! (And Girl Scout Thin Mints!)
I usually hit it with hi pressure at the coin op. Then take it home without drying, use the spritzer with NRWS, then a bucket with NRWS. Dry, then apply either Optimum Spray Wax or Duragloss AquaWax.

Hey Excel!

I definitely think that I need to purchase the NRWS!

Just out of curiosity, what kind of wash mitts do you wash the car with using the NRWS, and which towels are the best for drying afterwards?

So, if I go to the COIN OP and high pressure wash it, then when I get home, can I immediately wash the car using the NRWS, or would you suggest rinsing the car off first?

Lastly, can you provide a link to the NRWS? I do need to invest in some of this.

Thanks!

Jeff

P.s. Will the NRWS clean the car good enough to use the PC? By this, I mean will it remove all road debris, etc?

Also, Patrick, I need your help on selecting some pads/polish. I have some swirls that I need removed.

LOL, I think I answered most of my questions when I read the NRWS description

Stupid question: Where do you guys get the 1 gallon buckets at?

Also, so you just wash the car like you would normally with this stuff, but then instead of rinsing it off, you just dry the car? That's really awesome!

Join the bandwagon!!

Just out of curiosity, what kind of wash mitts do you wash the car with using the NRWS, and which towels are the best for drying afterwards? I like the sheepskins, I have two on hand in case it hit something real dirty or drop it. I always dry with the Monterey, and follow up with the Seafoam White.

So, if I go to the COIN OP and high pressure wash it, then when I get home, can I immediately wash the car using the NRWS, or would you suggest rinsing the car off first? You should be fine if its a short distance! I like presoaking again with the spritzer and NRWS, then washing with a bucket of NRWS.

Lastly, can you provide a link to the NRWS? I do need to invest in some of this. Here.....

Thanks!

You may need some alternate grease/tar/adhesive remover, but WD-40 usually makes short work of most things "stuck" on paint.

Also, Patrick, I need your help on selecting some pads/polish. I have some swirls that I need removed. Orange and White will get you back in shape 95% of the time..... Use Red for using up that UPP!!
